This country has morphed from unfettered capitalism into oligarchical corperatism. Rather than the government taking control of the corperatitsts, the corperatitsts have brought the government.
When the sobering realization sinks in to all the disaffected and disenfranchised people, that to the elite corperatitsts they are no longer necessary. And the sooner that we are all gone forever the better for them, for it is true that they (corperatitsts) don't wish to be rich in an impoverished land.
And by eliminating the poor the land is no longer impoverished.
It's a chilling realization isn't it?
I despise Democrats and Republicans and agree that they BOTH have worked against the people in service of corporations and Wall Street. The fact that she openly criticizes the Dems gives me hope. With no Green Party candidate to vote for in that race, I'll be voting for Jess.
It is a heartening relief to hear voices begin to frame this struggle in economic rather than ideological terms. It is not conservatives vs. liberals, it is owning families vs. working families. This is the sprouting of the class consciousness which will unite us to overturn the corporate plutocracy. (Try saying "corporate plutocracy" five times fast).

We need more candidates like Ms. King. This faux "democracy" we live in is actually an oligarchy. Using predatory "capitalism" and the love of money being paramount, all of our lives have been relegated to debt slavery, feeding the never-satiated Beast. Wealth is narrowing, year after year, while the oligarchs spend billions to muddy the waters with unimportant issues and phony "divisions", convincing the most impressionable among us to continue to support their oligarchy. Be it to fight non-existent "enemies" and "terrorists" everywhere, or that dirty "socialism" that they pretend would have us all in bread lines. It's a propaganda war being run by billionaires (a new one created every second day in the US) while wages drop and CoL skyrockets. Hyperinflation, corruption, greed, and legendarily bad monetary policy, will soon create two classes in the US. The Donor-Class living in their gated-communities, surrounded by an enlarged poverty-stricken land of debt-slaves.

You don't have to run as a Democrat or Republican in a "2-Party" system. Tell that to Independent Senators Angus King or Bernie Sanders.
I live in Maine and am knocking on doors for Green Party candidates that are running for state representative. Both Democrat and Republican registered voters are not only excited to hear about our candidates, but they are committing to switch their party affiliation and either go Green or Independent.
In fact, I'm getting a better response from registered Republicans than Democrats. That's right…they are willing and eager to join a party that is to the left of the Democratic Party. I believe that's because the Democratic Party propaganda has really done a lot of demonization of the Green Party. Well… the koolaid isn't working as well as it used to.
Yes…Voters are sick of both parties, Jess, and you should be brave enough to run as a Green. The Green Party is on the ground in PA and growing. It's great that you are realizing that the Democratic Party is has failed the people… and in many ways, they have left the Left and are trying to appeal to those on the Right. I can tell you that that is a losing strategy (as you are finding out). People are waking up and want to align with a party that stands by the people, not corporations… and that's why they're coming to us in the Green Party.
And internationally, the Green Party is coming to power. Just look at the recent elections in Germany and the elections in Iceland in 2017… where their Prime Minister is woman from the Left-Green Party, Katrin Jakobsdottir.

We even had a State Rep switch from Democrat to Green in 2018, he in Maine… and he is one of the most important voices in the Maine Legislature. What she doesn't understand (or won't say as I saw how careful she was when talking) is that the ENTIRE gov't is owned by EVIL CORPS.
This is why the gov't was created in the first place (do your research PEOPLE), to PROTECT the 1% because they were (even back then) the minority.
This is how they got to be so much WORSE than they were back then b/c the gov't protected them & people bought into the lie that the gov't was there for us!

Amazingly a mainstream network put out the show "One Dollar" & it will probably be canceled b/c it highlighted the TRUTH about how we are all salves.
They have us working 40-70 hours per week & we STILL can't afford our bills.
Even small to medium companies can't get anywhere because of how things are structured.
I can't remember which found of the corp said this, it was either Starbucks or someone else, but he said… "if he had to start a business NOW, he wouldn't because it's sooo much harder with the gov't putting all these laws into place that prevent companies from making ANY money."
Most people are 1-3 paychecks away from being homeless.
They have increased the cost of living so high, (make NO MISTAKE, they did this on purpose) we can't afford to pay for our bills.
This is just one reason why there's NO families left.
Everyone is soooo busy working, they have NO LIFE. Then they get divorced, kids are left to fend for themselves & aren't raised by at the very least 2 adults.
Everyone is eating FAKE toxic food, drink or shower in toxic fluoridated water, & breath in TOXIC polluted AIR from all the manufacturing plants that people LOVE so much. Due to this, most people's IQ has decreased exponentially.
Then you wonder why people are HAPPY to be slaves & bow DOWN to the gov't AND can't even conceptualize staying up for themselves or creating their OWN communities.
They continue to love & ADORE their masters (the gov't.)
