Britain’s Home Secretary signed off on the U.S. request to extradite Julian Assange, and now UK courts will decide his fate. But if the process until now is any indication, he will not receive a fair hearing, says journalist and filmmaker John Pilger

  1. 'Blair complicit in War Crimes, Assange a journalist who exposed the truth' yet the latter faces criminal charges!!! Further proof that Western Elected Dictatorships produce the same abuses as dictatorships else where." Therefore, we are all accomplices in the conviction and torture of JA

  2. Every royal family should be locked up for all the crimes against humanity that their ancestors and themselves have committed. We the people should rise up and storm all of their buildings and take back everything they have stolen.

  3. TOTAL RESPECT to your GOOD Self Mr. Pilger !
The World Needs Good Journalists like Yourself and Mr. Assange !
    Free Speech
    Free Press
    Free Assange
    UNITY4J
    RELEASE JULIAN ASSANGE
    CODE PINK
    STOP PERPETUAL WARS!

  4. People on the right may say that Pilger is a loony left reporter ! He is neither left nor right . He is just reporting the truth !

  5. Tony Blair is a Real War Criminal..Jullian exposes these corrupt criminals…Time for people to RISE UP AND SPEAK OUT

  6. It's odd that even Leftists seem either unaware or deliberately avoiding the fact (no matter how specious it may be) that the US of A is not charging Assange with publishing classified documents. Rather the US alleges Assange conspired with Manning to 'hack' the DoD computers either by soliciting Manning to 'steal' the docs or to 'crack' the passwords, etc., in cahoots with Manning. Obviously, those are very different allegations from simply 'publishing classified documents.'

Please know I find it very hard to believe Assange 'colluded' with Manning or that the US can even claim jurisdiction, barring evidence the 'crime' was committed within its territorial borders. Then again, the US government gets around that huge impediment to prosecution by claiming 'collusion.' Sounds pretty circular to me. In the end, my opinion counts for shite.

  7. John Pilger is one of the greatest journalists in the world. Together with outstandingly seasoned and credible people speaking up for Julia Assange, we must place monumental weight on their reports and perspective. He says this is the greatest freedom of press issue of his time – no small words for such an experienced and worldly traveller.

  8. It's high time people took the guillotine out of storage and put a few of these corrupt, criminal politicians under it >:-(

  9. Australian government and media will only support convicted AUSTRALIAN DRUG SMUGGLERS in Asia (Search –> Schapelle Corby, Bali 9 etc) but not Australian journalist in dire situation overseas for exposing CRIMINALS.

  10. UN doctors report assange is suffering from extremke stress, chronic anxiety and psychological trauma.
dazu gehören extremer Stress, chronische Angst und ein schweres psychologisches Trauma», sagte der Sonderberichterstatter zum Thema Folter laut einer

  11. Welcome to learn that John is still around and speaking out. Certainly appreciated some of his very important documentaries; very good work. Julian is clearly in a damn bad situation, has been now for plenty of years, and is there any real hope for him, I wonder. Washington is guilty of far worse than this, but this nonetheless if very unacceptable. It's criminal what they're doing to him. Unfortunately, I have no power over TPTB. It's madness.

  12. The Australian government are disgraceful. Eager to collude with the US and not protect their citizen who revealed the war crimes of the US and the UK and their allies. Tony Blair meanwhile a very rich man, advising dictatorships, and having with Bush invaded Iraq on false pretenses, resulting in a terrible war with one million dead and 4 million refugees, walks free. Orwellian.

  13. He is not getting Justice. The Judge should not be hearing this case in view of the conflict of her position. The hearings are not fair and he is not being allowed to defend himself.
