LAUSD is shrinking in student population rapidly. The district peaked at 750,000 students in 2004. It is projected they will only have 500,000 students this year. This means schools will be closing and there is going to be a serious fight in LAUSD.
Raising taxes on wealth creators is not the answer. It's the more of the same thinking that got California into this mess. People and businesses are leaving the state because of taxes, regulations, and chaos. California has made itself a sanctuary for illegal aliens and their children who draw benefits like public education but pay little in taxes. They are a structural drain on public finances, but you cannot welcome them fast enough.

That's what the empire does, underfund anything that is good for the public, and then exploit the consequences of underfunding to promote privatization, to appease their corporate overlords…..After all, dems and repubs, represent corporate interests, not the public interests, obviously….That's why these corporations that were built by our parents and grandparents, moved our jobs to China and Mexico etc..These corporations need to be shattered into a million pieces, and upper management investigated for crimes against their country, the environment and humanity, obviously….
