Malcolm X’s legacy is the dream of international revolution; we must keep that dream alive – Everything Law and Order Blog

Feb. 21, 2023, marks the 58th anniversary of the assassination of Malcolm X. We honor his life and legacy by recalling his revolutionary message to the downtrodden peoples of the world and committing to carrying on his fight for liberation. In this special commemorative episode of Rattling the Bars, Mansa Musa speaks with freedom fighters Paulette Dauteuil and Ashanti Alston about how Malcolm X shaped their own politics, why the dream of international revolution was so essential to Malcolm’s vision, and how we can keep that dream alive today.

Paulette Dauteuil is the former Co-chair (2010-2012) and National Secretary (2012-2014) of the National Jericho Movement. She now serves on the advisory board and is also a member of the International Leonard Peltier Defense Committee.

Ashanti Alston is a former political prisoner, former member of the Black Panther Party and Black Liberation Army, and a revolutionary speaker, writer, organizer, and motivator. He currently serves on the steering committee of the National Jericho Movement to free US political prisoners.

  1. So true. The fight for peace and equality is global. Dictators and corporatists can't survive global revolution. We are all one. There is enough wealth in the world for everyone. We all create the wealth and should share in it. Eat the Rich!

  2. Will I'll be as sensitive as I can I know you're giving props to the city tournament but I do with whole heartily wish that you would stop calling El Hajj Malik Shabazz Malcolm x 8 denigrates is legacy because he he knew who he was when he came back from A..frik.. a and discovered he was a more and you can find pictures of him carrying a holy book and wearing a turban he found out that he was of the tribe of Shabazz the bird had people and you can break it down by looking at the word in Syriak the language in Syria which is a grandfather language he was no longer x he knew his name and his nationality

  3. Thank you all for your historical connecting with Nga Tama Toa through our Pacific Panthers, it was very uplifting from all accounts and these people have and do, work tirelessly in all areas of community to support positive change!💜💥💫💦💨

  4. Eddie!!!!!!!!!!!!!……………………………Dearest Eddie. All my heart is with you, brother, ALL OF IT.
SIDEBAR: imagine Eddie at the Rage Against The War Machine rally,
TALKING TO US ABOUT WHITEY'S ENDLESS WARS AGAINST ALL WHO STRIVE TO LOVE AND BE LOVED, TO SHARE AND CREATE, TO *GIVE AND TAKE* INSTEAD OF **JUST TAKE**.
P.S. Mansa MUST CONTINUE ON AS THE HOST.
In My View: Malcolm was murdered by the U.S. Establishment
NOT SO MUCH FOR HIS DOMESTIC ACTIVITY
    but
FOR HIS INTERNATIONAL ACTIVITY, Whitey was Totally Frightened By That Attempt TO UNITE BILLIONS
when at that time the WARMONGERING IMPERIALISM WAS ON THE DULLES-STEROIDS OF [attempted] ASSASSINATIONS OF THOSE WHO ALSO STOOD FOR INTERNATIONALISM: Castro, Lumumba, Jack Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, Dag Hammarskjold, Sukarno and De Gaulle.

  5. When did Malcolm X "legacy" change from full and complete freedom for his own people in America, who he was taught and acknowledged, have know nothing but injustice, degradation, humiliation and psychological and spiritual warfare for 400 years and counting?

Murdering people and then "resurrecting" them to serve the agenda of others, especially the "message" of their very enemies and killers isn't really new. And it's no less effective for it.

He as many of us do, understand injustice is global, and the misery and opportunity costs are virtually immeasurable, but he was no idiot with a childlike moral understanding.

How could any man of sense be more concerned with other oppressed people, but who have a homeland and can exercise sovereignty without being the lowest racial social caste, when we/his people are still in captivity, but have been conditioned to accept our unworthiness of having any place on Earth to become our own.

Malcolm Xs speeches are universally clear about love for Self and Kind in a world where having melanin is "evidence" of inferior human characteristics as being the biggest issue for the non white world, and that didn't change after his trip to Mecca.

    Smh… the nerve

  6. Many thanks to rnn for talking about Malcolm x I live in Europe, in 1996 until 1999 I lived in Brooklyn near Fort Green Park I walked inland I went to visit a friend who lived in Virginia after the Potomak River I was surprised to see that a church attended by the black community I thought that people had changed then there was the George case I sincerely believe that we must remain vigilant but I trust the new generation a new day step by step process hope May America no longer be divided with too many prisons and too many gun lobbies, thank you for paying tribute to all these men and women for memory don't forget thank you very much for sharing this great interview merci beaucoup 🌈🌈🌈🌺🌼❤️👍🏾🕊️

  7. International, torturers needs to be condemned as easily as slavery is condemned. The same as cannibalism is condemned. Along with child molesters and rapist, All internationally condemned. “America is going to torture “. trump’s statement on national television. Now policy, Unaccountable Torturers in America. The same as unaccountable cannibals , pediphiles , slavery, and rapist. trump’s republicans. Americans are guilty by omissions.

  8. For Malcolm to have had any success he needed to know who actually rules the US. The US never declared independence from the Crown and the golden fringe on every American flag in a US courtroom symbolizes the English Crown Rule under Maritime Admiralty Law. Today King Charles III, founding member of the World Economic Forum is the US Supreme Leader. The Military Complex, includes all bases worldwide, and the 5 Eyes belong to Him. He sacrifices Americans in His endless wars to expand or regain lost colonies in wars based on lies.
