  1. In Mexico most people who are trapped in poverty have children like rabbits, since the Catholic church is thriving here. But at least the new leftist government is against criminalising abortion, yet probably they won't to make it actually legal. They also want to legalize cannabis, something that would help a lot the rural poor and the country in general.

  2. Is neoliberalism, corrupt politicians (from MX and USA), monopolies, big banks, greedy corporations and misinformation from some media that is the big problem of MX.

  3. Prof Panico failed to coherently outline a macroeconomic path to his goal of increased international competitiveness.
He should learn MMT – or at least talk to Warren Mosler & co.

Increased international competitiveness requires greater domestic efficiency – greater domestic efficiency is achieved by minimising local production costs.
Minimum local production costs are achieved by delivering essential services/energy/infrastructure at near cost price – such low costs can only be delivered by the nations not-for-profit currency issuing govt.
i.e. private profit driven ownership/investment of essential service/infrastructure should be eliminated – thus eliminate private finance/overhead cost/profit extraction & eliminate private toll & service charges. This ensures lowest cost domestic production.

  4. Judging by how "AMLO" and his government have dealt with the auto workers strike in Mexico, I'm not holding out much hope that there is going to be any meaningful change, in terms of promoting the interests of working class people.

  5. Mexico do just fine with this not corrupted president you guys need to worry about your present Trump and it's corrupted Associates that are going to jail worry about that Bozo's

  6. What we need to do is start a march to the senate, grab those hijos de puta inside the building and proceed to hang on the streets half of them, a Random selection of them, then we grab the rest and tell them to start working for the people or else * sighs * im pissed.

  7. Please call it what it is … neoliberalism is the main cause of , not only Mexico’s poverty, slit of other countries too ..

  8. I have been saying this for ages!
He says something must be done. and I agree. monetary communist self sufficiency. growth and competition can't be the markers.
