  1. HA!
    GOOD LUCK WITH THAT!!!
    Honestly speaking…
Now that Illinois passed a $15/hr minimum wage.
Companies and small businesses will either-

    Automate wherever possible.
Streamline operations and eliminate waste and inefficiencies.
    Impose stricter hiring standards.

Yeah…Those three factors will contribute to more job losses over the years.

  2. From the outside looking in, she will most likely do a few good things, but the majority of the time she'll be the same ol same ol politician. I will be very pleased if I'm wrong.

  3. A police department "that will brutalize [black Chicagoans] randomly, whether or not they deserve it"? No one deserves being brutalized, Michael.

  4. Great now our leaders are lesbian Mammy's…..tbh… She probably hates black men by default… yeah, she is gonna look out for the brothers…….i always walk into a room of gay black women with an awesome productive outlook on black men……😒😔

  5. Notice that when asked about the plague of violence and the Chicago Police Department's checkered past, she responds to crime caused by the poor in the community instead of the violent Police. But that is just a clip of the interview.

  6. What's Lightfoot going to do? Typically, looking at the sources of the campaign financing and what their agendas are, and that'll tell which direction she's going to lead.

Part two, historically, who were/are her professional friends, and what were their combined social interests and accomplishments; that will indicate her personal goals.

Part three, whatever campaign promises that she emphasized the most will filter through her term to keep momentum to a second term so she can carry on with part two.

But then again, being an outsider, she may have to make some heavy compromises to get to get certain things done. And those will depend on who's help she's going to need.

  7. More campaign bullshit, people! Always the same lines. Chicago is so corrupt to the core, I doubt it will ever be cleaned up. These two parties have to go.

  8. "First openly gay woman to lead a major city"? Wrong. Annise Parker was Mayor of Houston from 2010 till 2016, and married Kathy Hubbard in 2014. Marrying another woman surely means she was an openly gay woman while leading Houston. Surely an international, megaloplitan port city like HOUSTON qualifies as "a major city"!

  9. I'm very glad that she won the election whether she's gay or straight makes no difference but the thing is we always are going into Chicago or any place else to clean up people's mess member Harrell I forget his last name he went in there and tried to straighten stuff out and ended up passing away cuz it was too stressful I mean the die is cut in that state and I hope she'll be okay and I hope she'll do a wonderful job and so we just have to say God bless

  10. I'm sure she will end up like all the rest and I doubt she will prove me wrong. At best she will do a few superficial nice things while mostly doing nothing in reality.

  11. Thank you, Bernie Sanders! for bringing the message to the people. Lightfoot is a black, gay woman, why she won. If she doesn''t sound progressive now, she will! Or she will be gone!!!
