  1. I have a suggestion. Invite guests from alternative news outlets, YouTube channels, whatever channels, and podcasts to your show. Even the ones you disagree with. I've already seen Anya Parampil from The Grayzone on Tucker Carlson Tonight. Here's some more information about climate change, from different sources, that goes more in depth. https://phys.org/news/2019-07-carbon-dioxide-climate-acontroversy.html https://www.noaa.gov/education/resource-collections/ocean-coasts/ocean-acidification https://www.ucsusa.org/resources/co2-and-ocean-acidification

  2. And the government and big business continue to stick their heads in the sand! 😡😡😡

  3. I commented about it many years ago that the forests MUST be protected; while most people were only or mostly speaking about CO2 being the cause of climate change, what most people then called global warming. It's taught in basic high school and certainly college biology courses, or it was when I was doing those years of schooling during the 1970s and 1980s in Quebec, Canada, that forests basically recycle CO2, producing it or some of it at night but transforming it into oxygen during daylight, f.e. Forests help to keep this planet in environmental equilibrium, say. And of course it's long been known that deforestation often leads to soil erosion, as well as desertification. I did a paper while in college during the early 1980s on the topic of desertification, a topic I chose by browsing through a book store, for we had to choose which topics we wanted to do our papers on or about; and, I chose a book about desertification in Africa. It was abnormal desertification and was due to very, very unfortunate deforestation, leading to very difficult consequences, very much because of the excessive soil erosion that was caused. Of course forests keep soil from excessively eroding, the roots holding the soil in place. Forests are ESSENTIAL for this planet to be healthy. It's scientific and irrefutable FACT. And this has been known for a very LONG time. The mega corporations that're responsible are run by PSYCHOPATHS; the farmers who buy into the marketing are a bunch of MORONS; and govts are very responsible in this due to psychopathically working in the profit interests of the mega corporations, as well as for being morons, both. Etc. Of course this could be stated with greater detail, for other parties are involved and are guilty for this involvement; but, I'll leave the comment at this. Longer, most people wouldn't be interested in reading the comment.

  4. Stop using the land to feed animals. By eating plants instead of feeding them to farm animals, 75% of the farm land could be returned to nature. Go vegan, if not for the animals or your health, how about the Earth…

  5. Is there no end to the IPCC agenda garbage,,,,, ,, scare us into perpetual funding and taxation ,, governments and the FN,, hideous,, all about projections and models and the real world is just fine,

if we look back in history we see the same things recuring time after time, ice meltin, flooding, drought,, NOTHING is new or worse now,, and it never was co2 then OR NOW,,

  6. Those who deny these problems bolster their credibility by featuring spokespeople who speak well. Greenpeace needs to do the same. Whatever your expertise, delivering your message so falteringly undermines your professionalism. This issue is too important to muddle the delivery so badly.

  7. Land use around the world has always been about us,man, top predator ;We've cleared forests for 'farms' which in time have failed ,and now stare back at us ,reclaimed wet areas and peat bogs for habitation ,and taken away entire habitat from ecosystems .Its what we do !Population has always increased if conditions allowed and will continue to swallow us up under one huge footprint .There are things to be done ;Raising awareness until a global conscience kicks in ,to repair natural systems and exponentially reduce our impact ,while addressing obvious bio disasters like clear felling the Amazon and other tropical forests ,before deserts take over

  8. We must stop the CORPORATE Fat Cats of Greed from destroying our lands, our air supply, our very essence of life. Until we do this, nothing will change.

  9. More BS hysteria. Check the data. Earth greening has increased, NASA. De-desertification is being reversed by different projects. China being the most successful. Crop yields are higher. Check the data. Don’t listen to doom and gloom hysteria.

  10. Wish we could re-create the human-made amazonian 'black soil' -it's amazing stuff. There's some ideas how it was created. in short, it contains more life than any other soil in the world n has unique micro-biota that a v small amount re-fertilises a much larger amount of dead soil

  11. I been saying all over the internet last 2 months .. UK produces 40% of the food it consumes. We already have such a level of soil infertility UK has a predicted 30-40 harvests left.
Summer 2018, we lost half our crops. We have 5 years food reserves left. Once they're gone, only to wealthiest 20% UK citizens will have food security
UK is a 'green and pleasant land'. UK has some of the youngest, most fertile soils in the world thanks to being covered by the ice sheets during the younger dryas.
When the UK struggles to have a normal crop (which wont replenish reserves), other major global breadbaskets also fail to produce … When that happens, food insecurity increases the degree and likelihood of violence
every 1 celcius increase = 10-20% crop losses
Industrial big agra needs to collapse. smaller family run permaculture farming needed (yes it CAN be scaled up by rotating crops as in the medieval period)
If a cow's diet includes seaweed, it mitigates the methane in their flatulence

  12. Throughout history, great civilizations have fallen because they eroded their topsoil. (read "Topsoil and Civilization") Loss of soil and water resources due to climate change will be the major challenge facing the human species. Using food crops (corn) for fuel is inefficient, immoral and is only a form of corporate welfare.

  13. Greenpeace needs a better speaker. Um & You know are amateur BS for a supposed professional.
C'mon y'all. Your performance directly affects your impact. Try harder!
