NASA scientist Claire Parkinson says that, from 2014-2017, Antarctic sea ice rapidly fell to its lowest levels in 40 years, which could trigger a devastating rise in sea levels

  1. Demitry you seemed to have an agenda, it seemed that you tried not to and you attempt is appreciated. Keep working at it bud

  2. She's wearing a shirt that says NASA.. NASA claims to know so much about other planets.. deep space.. all the achievements they've made.. but still don't have a clue about the planet that we live on.. trillions and trillions of taxpayer money.

  3. GeoEngineeering…….. not a word about that. And what about post glacial rebound,, the earth does not gain mass by icemelt.

  4. You can watch the global temps daily on ClimateReanalyzer and the first half of the year was unusual cold in most parts of Antarctica. Now it's slightly 'warmer', but nothing close to melt-temperatures on or around Antarctica itself. You should be able to walk half the way to Chile over ice.

  5. I know why it's trumps nicotine yellow hair who reflects way to much sunlight and combined with ignorance it becomes a weapon of mass destruction. Sarcasm may acure in this comment. But hey I'f you are a rich guy you do like ostrich tactic dig you head down to ground and it all goes away lol 😂

  6. Could the increase in sea ice up to 2014 be due to the delay/lag in effects becoming apparent, similar to the lag we know there is in atmospheric changes becoming apparent. As for us humans, the only thing we can do now is to sit back and enjoy the ride as we are now on a one way journey, down that slippery slope where there is no stopping or getting off !

  7. What I do not understand about the state of the ice is why no one seems to mention how this affects the earth's mantle and core. It seems that without the ice, the earth will also heat up more from the core out. Do these thick glaciers and ice layers compress the crust, which compresses the mantle, keeping the core hotter from compression? How will continental drift be affected? All of the most important questions we need to ask ourselves and share are completely dwarfed by people's obsession with what Donald Trump is going to say from one day to the next.We have 3 rocks on nearby earth approaches occurring on July 24, 2019, a Wednesday. One of them will fly between the earth and our moon at a distance of roughly 220,000 miles. Our moon is roughly 240,000 miles from earth, so that would make this asteroid 20,000 miles from our moon, depending on the time frame of the flyby. Shouldn't we be just as concerned about an impact on our moon, as we are about an impact on earth? We just learned about the asteroid 3 days ago and tomorrow it flies by. Our ignorance is a consequence of our obsession with attention seekers like Trump and like narcissists. Our awareness of all things, is decimated by these attention seeking pigs, and people buy into it everyday.

  8. Great video from a NASA spokesperson who represents a company that destroyed the information to go back to the moon! We are however, currently making plans to go to Mars! So now we should believe this is happening to a continent 99% of us are not even allowed to visit? A continent where there is a treaty every nation signs to “make nice” while the rest of us live in the constant threat of nuclear annihilation daily. I’m not a mathematician but something doesn’t add up!

  9. Anyone else think it's a waste of time to talk about possible consequences in 2100?
Seems we should concentrate on the consequences over the next 20 yrs.

  10. Amazing such an expert never mentions after an ice free arctic in 2019/2020 its game over. Poof. We are done. Why do you think they never mention that?

  11. You want some real news check out the flat earth and you will realise that Antarctica is the ice ring that surrounds the earth. Antarctica is not a land mass at the bottom of a globe. Global warming is a lie

  12. Sea" LEVEL" …..rise by 6 ft ? Omg….you guys are killing me! 😅😄😃😂😁😀😅

  13. Where is it written that Earth must have polar ice caps???
Could it just be the true End to the Ice Age???? The breakage has also unlocked a beginnings to refreshing the food chain.

  14. Unusual increase in sea ice, higher moisture content in the atmosphere, caused increases in precipitation and as fresh water floats on salt water until it mixes and fresh water freezes at a higher temperature that salt water, you have sea ice increases tied to decreased surface salinity, even with higher temperatures. How ever once it gets a bit warmer, all the sea ice all of a sudden disappears, as it is no longer cold enough to readily freeze fresh water (fresh rain and snow falling on a salty sea, making it less salty and freeze more readily).

  15. In end july 2018 the Gulfstream from the US to Europe fell out. The temperature of the seawater at the equator dropped from 30C to 20C now and they don't talk openly about it but me as a seaman knows. If you want to open ears you must be honest.

  16. And I also feel like water should be free since it is a resource that humans will need. Money should not play to much in this situation. Because it's important resource that humans will always need for the rest there life.

  17. Well if you know how to make a man made beach. So that's means you know how to take water up. So drain some of water and use it for watering areas that we have a lot of forest fires like for example California. And Alaska just had a lot fires too.

  18. when sea ice melts you get precipitation causing hurricanes and manic weather worldwide its not only sea level rise but desalination of the sea causes it to evaporate very fast which produces nasty clouds with high energy output due to friction of the particles evapourationg so quickly. sea level rise isnt your real concern its the weather that should concern you amongst other things like the changes in sea circulation causing cold places to get warmer and vice versa also the more fresh water you put in the sea, allows the the salinated water to change its patterns, causing more and more weather disruptions.

  19. Unfortunately the Greatest Nation on Earth is to busy making profit from War to even think about listening to a Sciencist
    Four more years of
    Nothing
    Do Nothing America
