Nobel Winners in Economics Fail to Examine Structural Causes of Poverty – Everything Law and Order Blog

While it’s good the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics went to researchers who study poverty, their research falls far short of describing its structural causes, says development economist David Ruccio.

  1. THE BASIC REASON FOR STRUCTURAL POVERTY IS MAINLY CONNECTED WITH THE CURRENT MATERIALISTIC AND EXTRA ORDINARY EXPENSE IN MILITARY MASS DESTRUCTIVE WEAPONS AND CROSS CONTINENTAL INSTEAD OF THINKING ON THE MILLIONS DYING OF HUNGER AND DISEASES THAT COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED THROUGH COORDINATED EFFORTS BASED ON HUMANITY AND LIFE SAVING.

  2. Nobel was created by reality-isolated white elite for reaity-isolated elite. Injustice is the cause of poverty -legislated injustice, enforced and systematic.

  3. Who needs more data to quantify racism, poverty, or the climate catastrophe?? You would think this late in the game award worthy work would have to focus exclusively on solutions, not redefining obvious institutional problems

  4. Ruccio mentions changing land tenure systems, job security, worker co-ops, etc as solutions to poverty. What about basic income? Does Ruccio consider basic income as a solution to poverty?

  5. Economics is about the most efficient allocation of resources so the most benefits go to those with resources obviously.
That's why I teach poor can only efficient my allocate their thoughts

  6. Economic s probably developed by a military industrial complex whit the ability ta first safely take , inherit or otherwise acquire the world s resources, then manage those resources in it's best interests. Economics helps the owners of resources manage them better.nothing in the whole theory of economics is about helping poor people get rich for that follow this channel please:

  7. Poverty is partially a symptom of fungible currencies, which has been exacerbated by fiat manipulation. The causes of poverty are the systemic failure of rational economic methodologies to effectively act as a substitute tool for social management, which results in the dislocation of subjective qualification as a means of social discernment and compassionate accountability. This commodification of social relationships devolves into an antisocial fundamentalist cognitive blindness that enables humanity to be maladaptively controlled by aspirational market psychopathy and the social alienation (not economic) from the ecological and social commons.

Economic Liberalism and Neoliberalism are simplistic rationalizations of this social dislocation in subjective accountability. The rule of law and representative governance are also a post-hoc misappropriation of the human right of self-sovereignty deprived of social responsibility.

Modern economics is a form of inter-social and intra-psychological psychosis, enabled by the structural violence of institutionalized inhumanity. An anthropogenic 6th extinction seems to be inevitable without systemic intervention.

The theoretical and empirical result: economic growth has become a terminal social and ecological cancer to which regulatory reform is a proxy for palliative care.

That said, a pro-social non-violent systemic revolution is theoretically and pragmatically possible, but not from within the current political and intellectual paradigms.

  8. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't poverty created by lack of money. Or more percisly lack of wealth. Most of the people's wealth is skimmed for croany capitalist and their buddies in public office.

  9. This whole story is nonsense! I can sum poverty up in one paper. Do I get a novel prize. The public school system only enslaves children to become poor adults. Why do you think they don't teach ECONOMICS in school because if you know what money is and how to obtain, and maintain it then that throws a wrench in the elitist plan to keep themselves rich and always have a poor majority. Education is not going to help what starts at home more people want jobs. In America we have millions of college grads with no jobs solve that you Nobel Prize FOOLS!

  10. nobel prize never meant shyt. u thought it did bc that's what they taught you in "indoctrination" school. poverty is here bc evil mf's lie and deceit to steal from people.

  11. Let's go for worker rights, co-ops, ESOPs, unions, land reform. Effective and powerful reform is inconvenient, nonetheless, necessary.

  12. did i hear someone say Henry Kissinger was a Nobel Peace prize winner ?….. 😉😄😅😆🤣😂😁😁

  13. You are in poverty if you fail to love others and also when one rejoices in evil. This to me is deep poverty.
