Non-extradition ruling a win for Assange, not for press freedom – Everything Law and Order Blog

A U.K. judge’s ruling has spared Julian Assange for now, but advocates warn the court’s rejection of Assange’s free speech defense could stifle investigative journalism.

  1. Julian assage is a hero silent for iluminatis from all the corrupted around the world 🌎 why cnn and al the media put them in presión and the president from Ecuador Moreno has to be in jail for be a traitor to his own people. I hope Trump can bring him and pardon him.

  2. Bit tardy, but have had problems with my PC for weeks now, so …. The US committed the crimes and the President, CoC, is to be held accountablle ; NOT Julian! Julian responsibly and courageously did his work as we all need it to be done, and clearly, at very serious risk. He deserves all of our support, moral and otherwise.

  3. It's not really a win for Assange. He isn't exonerated from wrong-doing and he should be. Truth is, in a courtroom with observers in the US it would be hard for a court to find him guilty. That said, the war-mongers who are intent on prosecuting him would settle as easily for his death. On that reasoning, that he would die in an American prison, the judge (whose husband has ties to the Military Industrial Complex) was spot on. Meanwhile? Keeping him in prison anywhere is a win for the war-mongers seeking revenge and making him a warning to anyone even thinking about whistle-blowing.

  4. This is the thing, he is not America so what he puts out. America grow up and welcome to the real world FFS.

In the new world order where a single keystroke can alter history, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is undeterred – even as the legal jeopardy he faces threatens to undermine the organization he leads and fracture the movement he inspired. Capturing this story with unprecedented access, Academy Award® winning director Laura Poitras finds herself caught between the motives and contradictions of Assange and his inner circle in a documentary portrait of power, betrayal, truth and sacrifice. In the new world order where a single keystroke can alter history, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is undeterred – even as the legal jeopardy he faces threatens to undermine the organization he leads and fracture the movement he inspired. 6. I hope when he's able to, that he brings a lawsuit agains the US government and wins. For almost 10 years he was kept in a cage and treated like an animal. I will never forgive America for that. This country has been a bully to the rest of the world and it will take several decades to repair the damage created by Reagan, clinton, Bush Jr., and Obama. These presidents set the stage for America's collapse, which starts this year. Good luck Americans!

  8. For anybody wanting to know more about how Sweden helped the US trumped up rape allegations against Julian Assange, please read John Pilger's article:

    http://johnpilger.com/articles/getting-julian-assange-the-untold-story

It features lots of info that was virtually ignored by almost the whole of the mainstream media, including the fact that when the prosecution lawyer was queried by a journalist, that one of the women said that she had not actually been raped by Assange, he replied: "Ah, but she is not a lawyer."

  9. Not an easy case by any measure when you're sleeping in the same bed with the US. So what do you do?… Straddling is what it's called. You prepare the ground work for another round of legal assaults and greedy lawyers. Free Julian Assange.

  10. How is it that we, as a society, have watched as a journalist who brought truth to light, with the Collateral Murder video, be put on trial, tortured and fall victim to character assassination, while no one even knows the names of the MURDERERS in said video?
