They call it Loan Shark Prevention, which would allow post offices to act as banks for poor working people, but credit companies claim it will hurt the poor

  1. Hmmmm….Usury laws repealed in 1978, who was President? Jimmy Carter, have you had enough yet of the SOS,or you going to keep listening to these DNC Sheepdogs? Bernie and AOC ,Hope and Change You probably shouldn’t believe in.

  2. lol. 500% – Thats nothing compared to payday lenders in the UK; They often charge well over 1000% APR. Just one example off the top of my head: https://www.quickquid.co.uk/rates-and-terms.html

Quote from link above: "Representative Example: Amount of credit: £250 for 74 days with one repayment of £74.00 and one repayment of £324.00. Total repayment: £398.00. Interest: £148.00. Interest rate: 292% pa (fixed). 1300.5% APR Representative."

  3. I don't like it I don't trust anything that I cannot count out for myself or hold without swapping the card through I do not like credit cards or having to swipe a card. And the war on terror we should go over and take your damn gold back that the Rothschilds have stolen from this country

  4. Interest rates are related to risk. If you cap interest rates at 15%, then people with bad credit will not be able to get any credit cards.

There's a new book called Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Wants to Stop Cows from Farting.

  5. The government should NEVER (outside of during a declared war) get involved in the economy. All they ever do is fuck it up…even when their intentions might be good.

  6. Can socialist come up with a fresh Idea that hasn't already failed miserably please? The US government already tried capping credit card rates, i believe it was at 7%? all that happened was banks wouldnt give credit cards to people who were not worthy of a 7% apr. This forced poor people into dealing with loan sharks, not the hyperbolic loan sharks these people talk about, REAL loan sharks. You know, the kind that will kill your family if you dont pay them. Then the same poor people who got this voted into legislation complained that government forced them into dealing with dangerous people. Please stop being so stupid.

  7. Mr. Sanders Central Government President and *Ms. Cortez Central Government Vice-president what a concept for co operation in mass Governance!? Amongs't the neighbors bringing the Country its wealth to make the new system a secure covering for everyone. Jobs created manufacturing and making operational "high speed bullet train system". Putting into operation, farm windmill electric charging/battery storage units for each residence, coupled with the solar charging battery storage units. Changing** "mono-crop" Corporation farming of livestock and agriculture, over to multiple/thousands of organic non-chemical independent farmers. This country, let alone this World isnot in need of being managed/ruled by billionaires, or millionaires. Even the King is served by the field. If the field is bad, the King will suffer also – Ecclesiastes 8:11; 12:14…… Judges 21:25 principle is at work Worldwide, Acts 14:16 almost everyone is doing what is right ? in their own sight!! Nations going their own? way – like Rome…London…Wash.D.C. as the servants' of Pharaoh told him "can't you see that Egypt is ruined?" In Bible symbology, "Egypt" = the World, and its social order. Isaiah 25:5 the globe is so contaminated, they are holding back from telling the masses how bad it is. Matthew 6:10 is the only future cure 😐 please pray for it to come, someday, please 🙄

  8. If you're credit rating won't get you an interest rate under 15%, then you can't afford the loan in the first place.

  9. Payday Loans are not 400% INTEREST – but they essentially get away with exactly that by calling them various FEES, CHARGES, etc. And these businesses only exist because the Banks put such restrictions on deposits (such as paycheques) that force poorest folks to use these places just to pay rent, buy groceries. Also, in order to get a payloan you must give authorization to your bank account, so that you cannot get back out once you're in. Horrible that this has been allowed at all.

  10. You missed the fundamental underlying issue of why this whole credit debacle started wages stopped going up but Americans believe that they had an inherent right to a home and a car and a good life which was impossible to buy when wages stop going up so instead of focusing on the issue of wages versus productivity the employer's with massive amounts of capital loan the money to the workers who then had to pay it back with interest instead of just raising their wages this happened because large corporations have purchased our government and will not stop until we fundamentally change the system of Economics we live under

  11. One thing left out… The money banks borrow @ 2.5% is counterfeited
/ newly created money printed by the FED bankers who then loan the counterfeited
money to their banking buddies. Why are we and the government  paying interest on counterfeited money? That is the true problem. Interest on counterfeited money should be 0% for the government and citizens.
Today, every penny we pay in taxes only go to pay the interest on the
counterfeited money loaned to the government for their pet projects. Crooked as
a dog leg. And the American people are totally stupid about this subject. It appears stupid people get what they deserve.
