Opposition Grows to Hopkins’ Armed, Private Police Force Proposal

1. Hopkins is a parasite organization.

   They segregate themselves; dominating the city government; accruing land and power to the detriment of the city.

   Paying no taxes, while amassing a fortune. Truly in their ivory towers. The future rulers of the world.

   Just witness the smug students in their private buses that roar up the streets belching out terrific exhaust fumes and roaring sound. Five, six or seven of these buses will pass a bus stop where Baltimore's citizens wait patiently and seeth in anger at the elites in their bubble of insularity.

   JHU is no friend of Baltimore.

2. At 0:30 the video shows text saying that " active shooters in Maryland and across the U.S. have targeted schools and places of employment ", so I wonder why.

3. You know, all controversy about doing it aside, having private police here is like putting a bandaid on an infected wound. Instead of just saying “oh the area is dangerous oooooo” and throwing more cops in there, Hopkins and also City Hall need ask how it got that bad to begin with. There are some serious economic problems with the surrounding neighborhoods around Hopkins and those really need to be addressed as opposed to the nonsense Baltimore’s politicians have been doing for decades now.

   Institution exploited a Black woman, Henrietta Lacks, who came to John Hopkins for help when she was sick and they didn’t help—let her die and they were CRUEL while she was sick unto death. BUT TOOK HER CELLS without permission— with these cells they have parlayed multiple PATENTS and other money making empires that would NEVER happened without HER CELLS‼️They NEVER gave her estate ONE PENNY BUT CONTINUE TO MAKE MONEY OFF OF LACKS. Tradition is Leadership at John Hopkins is cold as ice—heartless snake ppl running this institution and that’s why THEY CANNOT have their OWN ARMY— that’s all the private police will be THEIR ARMY😡

11. there IS no such thing as private 'police'. police officers are sworn to uphold the constitution, and they answer to the citizens, at least theoretically. private security guards answer only to their corporate overlords, and they are beholden only to the financial profit the company shareholders.
