Parents of Jalen Randle, unarmed Black man killed by cop, remember their son – Everything Law and Order Blog

On Apr. 27, 2022, Houston police officer Shane Privette shot and killed Jalen Randle within seconds of pulling him over. Body camera footage clearly shows that Jalen was shot before he had an opportunity to raise his hands in surrender. Jalen had a warrant out for his arrest at the time, but he was unarmed and made no threats to the arresting officers.

For months, city officials made no public moves regarding Jalen’s case. But the Randle family was determined not to allow their son’s death to be swept under the rug. After months of protests, a Grand Jury served an indictment against Officer Shane Privette. As of Apr. 26, 2023, the case is being handed over to a new Grand Jury after the previous one decided to take no action.

Jalen’s parents, Warren Randle and Tiffany Rachal, speak with The Real News about their son’s life and unjust death. They remember a young man whose caring spirit was evident from childhood, and reinforced in adulthood after becoming a father. This interview was recorded prior to the Apr. 26th announcement of no action from the Grand Jury.

  1. BS. I hate that the host said some thing about how people dying at the hands of police is “terribly common“, or whatever exactly he said. That’s absolute BS. This is why you scare so many black men and they’re doing crazy things when they’re confined by the police, just in general. Because you scare them into thinking there’s some genocide against black men. Been killed by the cops is extremely UNCOMMON. It doesn’t mean issues don’t need to be solved, but stop exaggerating crap.

  2. I was really blessed to hear about Jalen’s beautiful soul. What an awesome man. The cops really need to to see and hear what an loving, caring & thoughtful person he was. I tried to find the reason behind the assaults, but I know I would understand the reason behind it. I’ve had to kick my sisters ass several times in my life & it was well deserved. If done info was available on that would be great. People like him don’t do this unless they person had it coming!

  3. I'm going to help you axjorb some of your pain, I feel it in my heart and you are so right the way you think about the way people, and all people. Should be treated. Joel Juilfs. Douglas NE NE

  4. You are a good speaker of the truth, it hurts my soul to hear about your story. I wish I could change your situation. I just wish the best for your family. To grieve and bring awareness awareness to the terrible tragedy that happened to Jalen, Randall Randall Randall Randall Randall Randall

  5. The majority of criminal are wearing a Blue Uniform with a Badge and Gun. Police are The Worse Criminals and We The People are going to put everyone if these Rotten Apples in Prison 🐽💩

  6. I am sick and tried of the killing of young Afro/African American men. This is a sin before the true and living GOD.

Our ancestors were primarily from West Africa. Our ancestors died in America against their will.

Whenever a young Afro/African American man or woman is killed by a police officer, the parents of the young person who is killed should move to Ghana or some part of West Africa. Our Ancestors would have loved to die in their homeland.

African Americans take the Ancestry African DNA test. It will tell you what tribe you are from. Stop allowing your beautiful children to be killed in America; a country that has no respect for Almighty Jehovah God.

Read 2 Samuel chapter 11 through 1 Kings chapter 2. You will learn how Almighty Jehovah God chastised King David for having Uriah the Hittite killed.

Jalen would not have been shot down in Ghana, or West Africa.

  7. Unarmed??? When he decided to run when he was being served with 3 warrants he grabbed a bag with a gun in it! So unarmed is a outright lie! Also the driver was unharmed. Why? Because he didn’t run and complied.

  8. If cops had to worry about family members murdered the same day or week as the victims they themselves murdered, a lot of this would stop.

  9. I’m sos sorry a son your son was murdered and especially in this manner. Your a victim of improper training in police public service and now dealing with the intentional diluted Justice system. Your son sounds a lot like me only wants to help but am limited by my surroundings and a natural temperament. But it sounds like he is someone we need in our community. I have faith this country can correct itself but as always it takes time and effort. Thank you for speaking up and shining light to Jalens life and story

  10. It is sad, but as "The Real News Network," wouldn't it be nice if your viewer were informed that police shooting unarmed people is not a "racist" thing. It's an "us-versus-them" thing. Why? Because literally twice as many Whites, e.g., get killed by police each year than Blacks. Google the Department of Justice's website. Sad but true. Js.

  11. The world lost a Star when we lost Jalen. Stop the hate and stop police violence and targeting of young Black men. This is America and we should be better than this.

  12. As a White Man I've Said this Before and I Will say it Again and Again and Again!!!!!!!!!!!
AII We the People Need is LOVE.
WHY is there so Much HATE?????????????
Hate has NO Place on this Earth………………Only LOVE!!!!!!!
God Bless the Family so Sorry for YOUR Loss.
