Texas cop watcher Manuel Mata has been jailed again after he confronted a Ft. Worth officer on sidewalk while she was making arrest. The charges of interfering with public duties Mata is facing raise serious questions about the right to film police, and if law enforcement is ratcheting up the pressure on 1st amendment activists.

  2. There are many videos on the internet where people commit crimes like looting stores with seeming impunity, It is infuriating, but on the other hand, so are the crimes committed by America's police gone rogue with zero accountability for daily summary executions. When you have one extreme, the other also arises like it is a law of nature. It is strange to see most people pick on only side of the story which is the narrative they prefer, but you have to remember this: You cannot create one extreme and not expect to have the other, opposite one. America has become a caste system where all the institutions – police, academia, media serve only the upper caste. Good luck!

  3. This is a very clear example of how cops can bully people into submission and then hang “a charge” on him for holding them accountable…
This is a “battle of wills” and it’s clear that they intend to “Get his mind, right”…
They are telling him that they can, and they will make him into “a criminal”…

We need to understand that not every “command”, is a “lawful, command”…

This is a “contempt of cop”, and “contempt of government” situation because he was so successful and intent on exposing the corruption of government.

  4. Hi Taya. Hope you got my recent e mail.

Thanks for the work you guys do. Oppressive policing is wrong for everyone. Those not yet affected will have a rude awakening when it turns on them. As a CCW permit holder, I get lots of requests from sheriffs in our state to donate to N.C. Sheriff’s Association
& other groups. I answer each appeal with a letter asking the Sheriff if he supports civil forfeiture or warrantless searches. No replies to any of them.

My brother & I argued left/right politics ferociously. But we always agreed on abusive policing.

  5. Ft Worth cop's are horrific at policing and they wonder why, we the people, feel the way we do They make up false charges By Texas law this is kidnapping

  6. Persecute and enslave. That’s what they do. These tyrants don’t have any empathy towards the public. Then they don’t understand why the public doesn’t trust them.

  7. All of them pigs need to be in prison !!! Violation of their oath of duty, assault while carrying a deadly weapon. ACAB 1312

  8. The corrupt fascist police should have an independent outside investigatory body that polices the police. The huge problem with the thugs is that they investigate themselves. Which is ludicrous and barmy. And they are not going to ever hold you themselves accountable properly ever. They shouldn’t be allowed to vote on anything that pertains to their own investigation by anyone else. They are a corrupt fascist organisation that needs to be put in its place.

  9. My opinion is that more people like myself are able to see what really goes on with american policing and the judicial system. How this part of government is broken beyond repair. I think a lot of people are waking up to the fact that law enforcement has been raping and violating our rights for way too long! Our rights are like muscles, if we don't flex them we will lose them! Encourage people in your circles to learn the constitution. At least start with learning the first, second, fourth and fifth amendments. This could help us greatly when dealing with corrupt cops. 🇺🇲✌️🇺🇲

  10. What the hell is wrong with everyone? This is corruption period. Seriously, thats not some theory, this is blatant abuse of the system that is meant to protect us citizens. This has got to stop

  11. State Law: https://texas.public.law/statutes/tex._penal_code_section_38.15
"It is a defense to prosecution under this section that the interruption, disruption, impediment, or interference alleged consisted of speech only."

Austin police have tried that on me and other filmers. Each was dismissed in the interests of Justice.

Fight them Manuel. And let's go film the police!

And sue the police. I am. 1:21CV0992LY-SH Federal Civil Rights Case moving forward in discovery now.

  12. We need a private entity trained in the law that rides along with the lil piggies and baby sit them till they know how to properly address the free Americans they work for and learn that de-escalation and the constitution comes first always with no exceptions!!!And violence is a very last resort!!More civs are killed by cops than cops killed by civs and that's a fact!!Yes, police were 20.8% more likely to kill than be killed by a criminal!!!And they have no problem Beating ruining the life or shooting A granny over a traffic infraction!!They are not brave they are not hero's and they love the feeling of the delusional power they feel when they strap on that gun and clown suit!!They think they are your keeper and they Actually think there better and smarter than everyone else!!But we Know that isn't true!!Most of us know the law and our rights better than the cops do and that is the sad reality of what policing has become!!!!If we don't start to fight back at every turn we will lose our freedom to these COWARDLY BULLY NAZIS and that is unacceptable in a free country!!And I am not talking about all the good cops that do their diligence in knowing their job and do the right thing despite their egos and opinions!!!

  13. Verify this, Taya. I watched a video on YT that explained…
The sidewalk is a part of the roadway. The edge of the roadway was includes parking lanes sidewalks, easements in addition to the lanes of traffic..
    The example used was…
If someone has their car parked legally at the curb of a multilane roadway, that person may leave the curb to go past the parked car to get in the drivers side door. That person is not subject to ticketing by a passing cop (he didn't flick the door open or make faces to the cop. The cop continues on.
Now, you do not own a car. You do exactly what the guy with the parked car did. There is no car there and you leave the curb, dig your carless keys outta your pocket, you step around the non-car, you stand facing the curb and use the non-key to unlock the non-door to your non-car.
Does you lose any rights due to not owning a car? Does the lack of a car make you subject to ticketing or arrest? Are you creating a hazard? Are you in any more danger than the man with the car?
The bottom line is, if the cop decides you are breaking a law or an infraction is being committed, he stops.
This proves it doesn't matter what a cop thinks (he could think the moon was made of green cheese, and it wouldn't justify the extra scrutiny being afforded our non car gentleman in our example )
Neither man did anything justifying the officer's mythical PC. That he addressed non-crime was due to his ignorance or corruption. Upon approaching non-car man, he was not free to walk away from the approaching officer… He found himself is a CUSTODIAL DETAINMENT.
The officer accused him of (whatever they say it is when you step off a curb. In fact all he was doing was transitioning from one part of the roadway to another part of the road. The sidewalk is anorher part of the same roadway.
If you (non car dude) explain this entire scenario, possibly more concisely, to the concerned officer, DOES HE LEAVE, saying, that explains everything, good night OR does he key his mic? Is he checking the law or calling back up? When you ask for a supervisor, do 5 more non supervisors show up? Do they all have purple latex gloves on (will they all be slingshot into the ROADWAY or each other or at you in the back of the unit you're bleeding in?)
You get where I've been going…

  14. More proof that many Officers in America are not mentally or emotionally equipped for their jobs especially females

  15. Yes you are right to ask why he dose this but we also need to ask why the police keep acting against the laws of the country when they are dealing with him.

  16. Americans your justice system is completely broken,it’s just like East Germany used to be when communism was at full swing. When do you think your justice system will start to open salt mines in Alaska?
