Porto seems a really good investment. For those who can afford it, that is. Most Portuguese can’t. Porto is gentrifying. There’s no room left for the low-income earners in the city center.

  1. Welcome to the rest of the world, Portugal!
What's happening with the working poor/homeless in America, especially with the homeless issues in California, will soon be the story all over the world. America is well under way, Europe will be next! The next 10-20 years are going to be very interesting.

  2. The global economy: all those international agreements were mainly to make the world a more flexible market place for the world's 1%. And they make sure that whatever wealth is created is never trickled down. These global market marauders are the true criminals: break and enter, assaults, grifting, scams, bribery, etc. on a massive scale. But it is all legal thanks to those fucking international agreements.
Their stock portfolio is the barometer of their moral, ethical and human feeling, meaning they have a made up version of all three.

  3. This is happening all over Europe, and some cities like Palma in Mallorca have already forbbiden this practice, that has completely changed the character and the ancient way of life in some of the most popular neighbourhoods of various European cities.

  4. It is sad, but it paints a picture as if homes are really cheap, they aren't, a quarter of a million or half a million euros for a one bedroom apartment is not cheap in my opinion. Apart from the French and British, the Brazilians and Chinese who are coming are escaping their oppressive regimes and are usually mafia with dirty money.

  5. The infamous vultures are now cannibalizing on themselves in what looks like a feeding frenzie!………..capitalism is criminal!
