  1. Non-violent offenders should be released and monitored in ankle bracelets. They could be sent home, to do community service for their crimes. This wouldn't work for all non-violent people, but it would free up a lot of space. If they have addiction problems, they could be treated in a hospital setting, and reside in group homes. When they are finished their sentence, they're records should be sealed, so only the police have access.
    Violent criminals should remain in jail, they should do their time, and if appropriate, their records might be sealed, but child molesters should not be protected.
    This would empty for profit prisons, and end crowding in federal facilities.

  2. Corporations are amoral and would be happy to enslave all of us. Maybe it would be a good idea to not allow them to purchase all our representation. It's frustrating to live in a country where 95% of the public is brainwashed and won't demand campaign finance reform.
