1. Funny that American led coups regime changes sanctions & the installation of far right dictators who serve US corporate interests r now pulling the same sort of coup on US soil

   The sad reality is that neoliberalism has gone YEARS beyond it’s late phase post GFC we failed to shift paradigm & it led to Trumpism but he is a symptom of a diseased society whose delusions beliefs in myths prophecies conspiracies made it RIPE for a fascist regime to swoop in an attempt to protect this economic system at the expense of EVERYONE /Christianity is like it’s always been a license to take to kill to expand to dominate to enforce to act opposite of the saint Jesus & like ALL major religions it’s the ailment of the human race when it meets extremism & in the US capitalists LOVE the Christian Right

   They have millions marching straight into serfdom under the illusion that hate intolerance ignorance or a gun will save them

   It won’t /they r defending the architects of this cancerous system

2. I admire Waters so much. I'd like him to know that sadly, Canadian mining companies for many years have been wrecking the environment and livelihoods of Mexican communities with their open-air gold and silver mining. We have a new government now, a so-called leftist one, which doesn't give a damn about it either.

3. You canjot have a liberal socialist system based on destruction of ecological systems worldwide. Still recall meeting an Amazonian attorney for the indigenous in Ecuador almost two decades ago. I felt like our corporations were out of control then and are again now. It's as if the U.S Revolutionary War has been lost and British corporate colonialism still is the order of the day.

9. Good on Roger Waters for speaking out on the dead end path the world is being led down. The drastic outcome of a profit driven market is just around the corner and a fall back plan to save the current ruling class with no regard for common people is already in place. The best option will not be to hunker down in place and protect a limited store of provisions. The only option for all of us will be to hit the streets and demonstrate that we reject the system that brought us to the precipice of extinction.

20. I just love it that Roger Waters is not tying his ethical approach to these activists efforts to any particular political ideology other than decent human virtues of love and compassion. Progressives and lefties everywhere could learn a thing or two about the material power of spiritual virtues by listening to him. A strong deeply spiritual response to economic and environmental crises motivates people the most and leads to hard concrete positive progressive action, not just lip service to a vacuous ideal of material socialism devoid of love and kindness.
