Whenever there is a clash between India and Pakistan, media and pundits present India as the good guys. In this case, at least, India is the aggressor and Pakistan is seeking dialogue, says Lahore Professor Junaid Ahmad

  1. Thank you so much to the Real News for this important report. God bless all the initiatives towards calm and peace and dialogue.

  2. It's clear from comments on these videos that Indian people are full of hate and do not want peace in the region. Sad it will not bring happiness to either side. I was wondering how Indian officials knew Pakistani involvement within minutes. I knew right away this was a govt propaganda.

  3. Finally, someone covered Pakistan's point of view. All other major outlets only covered the story from point of view of India. Thank you.

  4. Looks like Indians aren't happy here, they didn't hear what they have been hearing from their overly dramatic news anchors.

  5. The whole timing of this does seem odd. At the heel of Venezuela, trade war with China, sanctions on Russia, Sanctions on Iran, illegal war on Syria and now India attacking Pakistan. All these countries have left the dollars for oil and one wonders if India is being pushed, by the west, to attack Pakistan.

But then, Pakistan is the safe haven for many terrorist groups in the middle East and they've increased since the US attacked Afghanistan. They seem to be a state controlled or even using terrorist as proxies against India. Why isn't anyone putting pressure on Pakistan to get rid of the terrorist?

  6. see the desperation by Imran Khan to hand over Indian pilot as early as possible. He very well knows whats India going to do next. He is really afraid of Modi .

  7. The Real News, if you want to have an iota of credibility left, you'd want to have someone from India on your program to explain about Jaish e Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba, and why Pakistan always asks for the mythical magical evidence which they never believe anyway. The presence of Jaish training camps at the targeted locations was mentioned in some of the documents released by Wikileaks. Your psycho guest is peddling the bald faced fiction that the Indian government actually engineered the deaths of forty of its own paramilitary forces to win an election? And you sit there nodding along? Which of the two is a pathetic near terminal failed state to generate thinking like this? And since when when did the Real News aspire to become the next Infowars? For shame.

The plain fact is that irrespective of the merits or otherwise of the Kashmir problem, Pakistan decided a long time ago under Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto that they would wage assymetrical warfare against India through cross border terrorist groups. Bhutto called it bleeding India by a thousand cuts. President Musharraf called terrorist groups based in his country, "strategic assets".

Terrorist attacks are precisely the wrong way to persuade any country, let alone India, to hand over territory.

Look, I know it's practically an article of faith among the hard left and progressives groups that Muslims can do no wrong and anybody else can do no right. Heaven knows, after Iraq and Libya and Syria and Yemen you might be conditioned to think that way. But the world is a much more complex place and more nuanced than can be shown in a ten minute one-sided smear job from a representative of the country that hid Osama for ten years, and spawned the Taliban.

  8. Paul you've lost all respect from me. I too sympathize with the people of Kashmir and believe India treats them wrong. But didn't expect this kind of propaganda from you.

  9. The terrorists who started this latest escalation of hostilities by truck bombing the Indian military are not supportive of Imran Khan's attempts to improve relations with India. They do not represent Pakistan mainstream political policy and they want to secure all of Kashmir for Pakistan, which is totally unrealistic.

Modi is behaving in a high handed & arrogant manner in the current tension which could be construed as a deliberate attempt to undermine Khan's support in Pakistan, thus destabilizing the situation further. This is a negative self-defeating posture from India and serves no useful purpose towards achieving a necessary peaceful improvement of Indo-Pakistan relations.

  10. WHEN EVER THE FAKE NEWS NETWORKS . , REPORT AN INCIDENT . THEY ARE TRYING TO GET , THE USA 🇺🇸 MILITARY INVOLVED .!!!!! . DO NOT BE FOOLED . !!!! . WE ARE UP TO OUR NECK , WITH OTHERS WARS .!!!!! .😳😢💔🙏🏾📚📖📚💀☠️..

  11. Please do a detailed news report on the plight of Kashmiris in the Indian Occupied Kashmir. The worst human rights abuses, genocide and mass rapes by the Indian army is going on in India. Now they are not even allowed to stand up for their defence?! Indian media labels these victims who refuse to accept such treatment as "terrorists"…. I must say a very convenient term flouted around these days for people who stand up to mass human rights violations

  12. First of all the so called specialist is everything wrong with Pakistan.
First, he says India killed 50 of its own soldiers to get political benefit even though the terrorist group India is accusing took the responsibility of the attack themselves and it is a political disaster for the ruling party.
Second, he says that Indian jet fighters entered Pakistani territory and sneekily doesn't mention that they destroyed terrorist camp of jaish e mohammad, which Pakistan should have done if they were serious about terrorism.
Third, he says that "experts" are sayinh that the ruling govt. In india is going to loose the next election. They most likely will win again.
Fourth, he is saying that India do not give evidence. The group itself has claimed the responsibility. And Pakistan doesn't have a good record of acknowledging proofs.
Last, Imran Khan talks about peace but never acted on it.
All india is asking Pakistan stop supporting terrorism other than that we can't care any less about it.

  13. Pakistan has always been the peaceloving one. You are realising this now only, because we all know that the mainstream western media is biased against most Muslim countries and those countries which don't toe the line of the US agenda. US cannot stand countries which try to stand up on their feet and try to shrug off US dependency and refuse to accept US interference in their internal matters. India made the first strike. It attacked Pakistan unprovoked in its northern region Balakot, while it's media kept up its war rhetoric driving the nation into a frenzy for blood and violence

  14. Who is this guy? He's out of his mind. He is suggesting that India killed 50 of it's own soldiers as an excuse to tangle with Pakistan? Real News, you need to find someone to interview with a more balanced view of this long standing conflict.

  15. Role reversal? You mean India has started sponsoring terrorist outfits with Pakistan crying victim? Poor coverage of an otherwise controversial subject. Is this the rushed and lazy journalism that Paul Jay keeps railing about? This region of the world is the most, if not, one of the most dangerous flashpoints for nuclear war & this is how TRNN covers it- A one-sided narrative by a clearly biased Pakistani policy wonk? By all means there are lots of questions about Narendra Modi which can be asked but nowhere does the interviewer or Junaid mention that Pakistan has been allowing terror groups to function with impunity from its soil (long before Modi came to power) giving it's establishment 'plausible deniability' while, these groups wreak havoc not just in India but on Pakistani society as well. Instead, he uses it as a platform to talk about Kashmir. The fact that Modi and Trump may represent the right wings of their respective political classes doesn't change the fact that Pakistan is a democracy that is controlled by the military establishment. Junaid himself has said this on TRNN before. Also surprised by Junaid's naiveté bec in the past he has come on TRNN to talk about how the West saddled Pakistan with the Taliban and other extremist forces and that Pakistan isn't able to control then anymore! Yet, strangely he makes no mention of this or the fact that the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terror outfit claimed responsibility for the attack that killed 40 Indian security personnel behind all this mess. The was no push back from the interviewer (who is a softball when it comes to interviews anyway) on this or the fact that, Pakistan's own foreign minister admitted on camera that the head of this terrorist outfit lives in Pakistan but is 'too sick' to leave his house! On so many levels this video is a disappointment. I've always enjoyed Junaid's interviews but ever since he shifted back to Pakistan he has taken on an establishment tone and TRNN should know better than to use him for such interviews or balance it with an Indian narrative as well.

  16. you know who the guilty actors are by watching FOX news. all day yesterday, they kept running a piece about how Pakistan violated int'l law by showing the captured pilot on TV. they said nothing about India's act of aggression by bombing and violating a sovereign state.

  17. I think a confrontation between these two would be a huge gift to humanity. No bias or prejudice. Over population and global warming is here.

  18. what a hypocrite ??? where was his holy bin laden found by the us soldiers. In pakistan. UK is becoming the breeding hub of terrorists by letting people with regressive thoughts. Dont fall for these human kinds. They are absolute terror breeders. They are calling for jihad in their madrassas where they are trained to kill people and follow jihad against those who are different. They are the breeding ground of all terrorism in this world up to the point in south asia and middle east. Their posturing of olive branch and accepting that thing by the western media will destroy western societies.

  19. Horrible job reporting , omg you are the worst so many flaws. The Real News Network, please never let this host do a big story such as this again. One sided as hell against the country being attack by terror groups. The country who hide Bin laden remember and same one Afghanistan extremist fighters run across the border to for safe haven then go back across the border to Afghanistan strong again. I understand Sharmini P might have a bias but anyone but this guy next time please. just wow …..

  20. Isn't it funny how the next day India defies USA's sanctions on Venezuelan oil a conflict that was asleep for decades suddenly sparks up? Ignore the Actors and Analize the Actions.
