  1. The "You Know" just kills the stories. I found myself wanting to count them. Good subject to emphasize on, for sure.

  2. I was put in jail after winning a trial.a month later i had sentencing which made no sence i was found not guilty..but guess what they gave me work release right away. Over 700 a month i had to pay.i was offered a job at the recycling center.i figured maybe this is a good start..nope we got paid less than what regular workers got paid..we only worked until noon then got sent back to the jail…we ended up owing more money than we made…its corruption..it was a privately owned jail???a few months later the guy who ran it lou elmy i believe his name was got arrested for cocaine and taking drugs and bribes just to let people out to see famlies that they already earned..this is what i was treated like…why? For profit..just lile the kids for cash scheme all for profit nomatter guilty or not ..luzurne county Pennsylvania.. Probably the most corrupt county in the country…they made a big deal 10 months ago about taking a k.k.k. plaque down that was displayed on public square..what they do..take the monument down for fear it was going to be damaged..they are remodeling the square..it is being saved not destroyed..its sad..im ashamed to say im from my area

  3. So sad – to create employment for the private sector and use the prison system to make consumers for corporations – while making money off of prison labor for corporations. The government must be negotiating this organized process. America has and seems to be deteriorating more and more in its morality and ethics.

  4. This is modern day slavery at its best…i ask myself, how is this possible? Then i quickly realize that in America we no longer have rights, this is just par for course as they say. So, what can we do? Well, we can emcourage the prisoners to not take the jobs….this way the Department of Sanitation can't replace anybody and the employees can make their demands. People who support the prisoners for standing down can then donate to the prisoners individually. Sort of compensate them for safeguarding the worker's jobs. But, knowing how bad this country has gotten, the system won't allow the public to support prisoners like that. So, we're back to square one….America is broken…Civil War is the only way!

  5. Thank you so much for your program. I had no idea businesses were using prison labor. Thank you too, professor, I had no idea regarding the extensive abuse of incarcerated women.

  6. As an ex con I luved .75 hr. We used our jobs to smuggle in more contraband than you can imagine. Friday night's was Miami Vice on cable in the crib after a few pinners while sukin down a chivas and soda. After that was frozen burritos munchies, fried chix, fries, etc., all from the galley. The COs knew but it kept the peace.
If I was a warden knowing the inside … cons would be locked down from sunset to sunrise, no jobs, private contracts on everything. Cons would have books and TV for illiterates. Wanna avoid that treatment. Don't get convicted or caught.
Go ahead n stop it. I'm sure the taxpayers in LA won't mind having their taxes increased as an offset to paying cons while civilians are unemployed in their communities. Or we can pay the cons a minimum wage and then deduct that wage from their room, board, medical, dental, till they parole and then estimate and deduct their parole costs from their final parole payment, and of course the fine.
Both geniuses here don't mention a word about punishment (prisoner rights?, u ain't got no stinkun rights … what: ATTICA!ATTICA! ATTICA!) … they fukn expect a reward for being criminals. Perhaps Cuba would suit them better.
Oh .. I wrote my own expungement brief, filed it, and was expunged in 86 of 2 felonies that are now legal in 27 states … pot. Always ahead of society n my time.

  7. Mr.Conway,we must all thank you for the work you're doing,we know what time it is but if nobody shows it,nobody else will do shit!We all need to get on board and stop this crap!

  8. F*?! DO WE EVER F-ING HAVE GOOD NEWS FOR BLK PEOPLE GET TIRED OF BLK PEOPLE BEING THE BUTT END OF STORIES WHILE EVERYBODY ELSE GETS THE GOOD STORIES TO BOOST THEIR IMAGE ESTEEM AND THEIR CHILDRENS HAPPYNESS, WE THE BLK PEOPLE SEEM TO GET THE SAD DEAD SAME OLE SLAVE STUFF, STAY THE HELL OUT OF THE DOWN LOW BREADING FARMS AND STAND STRONG, FREEDOM AND THE VILLAGE IS A MUST.
