Donald Trump is leaving office as the first president since Herbert Hoover to lose control of the House, Senate, and White House in a single term. But the damage Trump and his administration have done over the past four years will linger for decades to come. When Joe Biden is inaugurated as the 46th President of the United States on January 20, 2021, many Americans will embrace and celebrate the moment as a supposed “return to normalcy” for a battered country. But is there even a “normal” to return to? How much will actually change under a Biden administration—and what forms can we expect that change to take?

Join the TRNN team for our post-inauguration livestream, where we’ll be sharing our thoughts on the outgoing Trump administration, the incoming Biden administration, and what lies ahead for all of us, from 2:30-3:30 p.m. EST on The Real News Network YouTube channel.

  1. I really believe that the US is in a time of changes, in what direction it goes is due to the Biden presidency. He could mark a new directions in politics, with progressive and sustainable policies for the future, or pave the way to a disaster in 2024 and put a nail in the coffin of any hope of real progress in the US. The left also is facing its greatest test. Will she become strong enough to determine politics from now on or fail and fall apart?

  2. Perhaps most powerful thing about COVID-19 is how many things have been brought into stark relief – Poverty, Political Power Grabs resulting in, basically, State Government by fiat, further accelerated the prosperity/wealth gaps, brainwashing on a mass scale, and the country of the United States teetering on the edge of the death spiral.

  3. Trump didn't have insurrection. where is your evidence? you are just a liar like cnn, lying news, propaganda. it looks like most of them have been proven to be blm and antiffa!

  4. Now what? It gets worse. Some things Trump is responsible for (i.e. Soleimani) but the overall situation is due to the economic collapse of America starting from 2008. And no, Obama was not responsible for that either. This is the legacy of our "wonderful" War of Terror which OBL won and Wall Street.

  5. Steve Janis and Taya Graham need to keep the “deficit” discussion off the table. The “deficit” talk is a scaremongering tactic to keep progressive ideas just ideas.

  6. What comes next is Holding Biden's feet to the fire & try to put America on a Real Path to the future.
