As Jeff Cohen points out, political fear of progressives and corporate power have pushed the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) towards strategies for stopping primary challenges

  1. I suggest using RESISTBOT: TXT 50409
It lets you hammer the reps national and state easily. Yell at your house and senate idiots every day – they deserve being yelled out everyday.

  2. Rep Cheri Bustos (Ill) is head of the DCCC, she is a Racist Patriarch. When you implement policy that effectively denies funding to, based on '16 house/state house gains, women and people of color in order to protect your crappy right wing incumbent cronies, your a racist patriarch. This is her crappy policy, therefore Rep Cheri Bustos (Ill) is a Racist Patriarch. The DCCC is bad news for voters and workers. They want to kill progressive voices, many of whom are women and people of color.
    Bernie/Tulsi 2020

  3. The Dems are indeed in a bad place with a tired, easy money-addicted and crooked elected officials selling out our people over and over again. Pelosi and Schumer have to go. But Bernie and Tulsi are running in the Democratic Party. The Party could clean house if we gave the progressives a strong mandate to do so. You know how to do that? Get out the vote for Bernie and other clearly un-corrupted PROGRESSIVES WITHIN THE PARTY. The CURRENT Democratic leadership actually brags about being a buffer between the oligarchs and the common people. What do you think Pelosi means when she says "We must hold the center?" She imagines she can go to her donors and they will somehow figure out how to take care of you and me. If you like this type of leadership, just keep voting for these so-called centrists. She needs to be driven from the party. She's somehow managed to finagle her way to a greater than a hundred millon dollar fortune while holding public office. She is not you friend. She needs to go.

  4. Ben Jealous had a piece (I think with Cenk Uygur of TYT) in 2018 after he won the primaries for govenor. In 2006 the Dems saw a blue wave coming, the DCCC under Rahm Emanuel stacked the primaries with Wallstreet Democrats and right wing Democrats, they got showered with money

(Big Finance had an inkling they would need their guys in Congress later ! – the GFC started in 2007 !).

If a progressive or blue collar style Democrat made it against the odds ,they were abandoned in the GE by the DCCC.

Some of the blue wave guys lost their seats in the next elections, the voters figured out they did nothing for them (in 2006 the country was fed up with Cheney /Bush, it was "any blue will do"). So those Wallstreet Democrats / careerists that won the new seats all lost them in the next years. ( that explains the 1000 lost seats on all levels of government under Obama)

  5. The most important role the Big Donors have assigned to the Democratiy party establishment is to keep progressives away from power_and the party establishment wants to _keep the money flowing. The Big Donors want the voters to have a "choice" on the ballot that is either a sellout spineless Democrat or a fierce Republican. (and they will do well under whoever puppet makes it).

Fulfilling that demand of the Big Donors that matches the selfish interests of the party establishment is even more important than winning general elections. Hillary Clinton wanted of course very much to win the presidency. But in the big picture she was useful and her campaign was not a waste of money (more than 1 billion USD). After all she prevented Sanders from becoming president.

The Democratic Donors may not like Trump – but he is not going to harm THEM, they are doing fine and to be sure the tax cuts they got under Trump they likely would not have gotten under Clinton. So despite him being uncough – they are fine with Trump and certainly they would prefer 4 more years of Trump as opposed to a Sanders presidency from 2020 on.

The only really bad thing about Trump is that he draws too much attention to politics and awakens the sheeple (sort of …. Mainstream media tries to keep the masses entertained with "Russia, Russia" collusion and Mueller investigation)

Keeping the money flowing (and the prospect for ex politicians to get lucrative contracts) explains ALSO the deafining silence of the Democratic party on easily hackable voting machines.

The results in Ohio are on principle NOT VERIFIABLE (the machines have safety features that were never activated, same in some districts in Texas).

Purges of millions of ethnic names from voter lists in Republican run states (Operation Crosscheck in 2016).

Greg Palast: Democrats steal primaries (he refered to older incidents not even the Sanders campaign) Republicans steal the GE.

The Democratic establishment (and the Big Donors) prefer to have the option to cheat (even to change tabulation) in case of a progressive "emergency". The Big Donors do not wante the unwashed masses to be alerted. They do not want to see the boat rocked or the sheeple to realize that this is a "facade" of democracy at best – so no mentioning of abyssmal state of election integrity.

250 million people in the U.S. had the vote in 2016, 139 millions = 55 percent used it. But these 250 millions would be a force for change if they were united.

Not all of the sellout Democrats are going to lose the seats even if they do poorly in the elections. You bet the Dems do not even want to win in a landslide – they would run out of lame excuses. Having a narrow majority serves them just fine (enough that the Republicans = the other wing of the Big Donor party can be "blamed" if the Dems are not serving The People)

If politicians that are well connnected and served the donors and party establishment well (brininging in the donations) lose elections or leave politics they will be taken care of and get a cushy job for ex-politicians. See Joe Crowley – and he made the very serious mistake of losing agains Alexandria Ocasio Cortez.

  6. It LIMITS CHOICE FOR VOTERS and it limits ACCOUNTABILITY for incumbents that do not serve their constituency. _ Neoliberal "New" Labour under Tony Blair did the same, they shipped in outsider candidates into SAFE districts and the constituents had no way of getting rid of them.

The Tory candidate could be relied on to be even worse or at least not better.

Like in the U.S. the "winner takes all per district" rule favors to have only TWO domininant parties.

In the U.K. money in elections (spending, fairness rules on TV) is very much restricted, grassroots have a chance – Labour establishment (before Corbyn) betted on it that Scotland would never vote Tory. That is correct – but Labour got competition from the Scotland National Party, the referendum fuelled that and they are somewhat populist. They wiped out Labour in Scotland before Corbyn.

  7. While calling for unity out of one side of their 2 faces? They are attacking Bernie & progressives with FIRE coming out of the other mouth of their 2 faces.

  8. A primary challenge does seem to drag the incumbent away from their comfort zones. Also, political consulting is basically campaign money laundering.

  9. Both parties are totally controlled by big business, the dnc was caught red handed last election but using Russia as a smoke screen seems to have worked on the majority of the population. Pretty sad really, their propaganda is quite effective.

  10. Even if it had nothing to do with shutting out progressives; If a candidate runs to be my representative and is bad, lied and has scandals I just have to vote republican to remove them as my representative it is my only hope.

  11. Why such a short segment? I thought you were supposed to be different than corporate media. I’m not asking for a 20-30 minute segment but at least give us 10 mins, or at least 17 mins on a subject such as this.

  12. You know to join the hitler youth you had to do the same thing 😂 Yet the left is so anti Nazi.. a oath ?😂 Pathetic.

  13. who cares, those consultants are absolute idiots anyway, they lost thousands of seat countrywide over obama's presidency, lost both houses of congress, and managed to help hillary lose to the most disliked presidential candidate EVER.
Progressives are far better without those political consultants. Progressives charge forward and primary ALL of these corrupt corporate/oligarchic dems. Put them ALL out on the street!
Everyone should boycott all corporate dems. Refuse to vote for them ever again, then the party WILL change.
No more voting lesser of two evils, we demand "good" candidates!

  14. I'm not sure what the law is or laws are but this Dem. Party "leadership" action or conduct definitely strikes me as if it's surely unconstitutional. Dem. Party supporters surely should do all they can to try to vote OUT the Dem. Party members who support this absurd political action. These "leaders" of the Dem. Party clearly don't care about real democracy, yet want to run a political party oddly named the Democratic Party. They're political frauds.

  15. Loyalty to a party that rigs primaries to stop REAL progressives, claim fake Russian cyber attacks to deflect getting caught rigging said primaries, and then admit in court they don't need to have fair elections……..so sad Americans have gold fish memories!!

  16. Bullshit, its time for all the old narrow minded self interest old vision , dont want to let go of power to step down! We need fighters to fight for us, the American People!

  17. does nancy polosi champion campaign finance reform? (thats a funny question, lol) if so, would that include lifting the ban by the dccc on " consultants" and the first amendment?

  18. It is coming closer to breaking into a third party……The people are rising everywhere in the world…. France has had 22 weeks of yellow Vest protests, and Macron has caved to over 12 billion Euros in concessions to the Middle class…. Corporate media do not broadcast this…. It is now spreading to Great Britain……

Establishment Dems days are numbered…The DCCC will become hated….. Corporatist days of dark money are numbered…..People have had it, and if that means hitting the streets to speak truth to power and take it back….it will happen….

The establishment Dems are trying to hang on to power they really no longer have….THE PEOPLE DO NOT WANT YOU…. It is way past that point….. the people are rising.

  19. um… name the "consultants" and "venders" who are'nt barking at this dccc bullshit. a swing at the air won't bring down the democrat drone or the funding that keeps them there.

  20. full senate leadership briefing on the EIT's 9/6/06 shows DEMS & REPUB our both complicit in crimes in & under our names as America!!! they our using law language to cover up there crimes !!! language like national security & classified thats the paradox!!!

  21. I think the DCCC is just trying to signal to the world the incipient death of the Democratic Party, or perhaps of the American political party system.

  22. The Democrat party is the second arm of Soft Power White Supremacy.
It seeks to divert as much resource as possible to WHITE WOMEN, while the Republican party prevent it from being taken from WHITE MEN.
This leads to the ONLY TWO parties, BOTH primarily supporting policies that redirect resources to WHITES at the expense of all others.
Hold the Families of Leaders accountable for the THEFT and DEATH caused by WHITE SUPREMACY.

  23. Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. What DCCC means was strongly hinted at but I ended up having to Google it because I'm not that well informed.
