16. Just like the Supreme Court Citizens United case, they pulled this ruling straight out of their asses.
    Until we put the Supreme Court back in their place we will not stop these kinds of rulings.
    The SC has taken power unto itself that the Constitution does not give it.
    They do not have the power to overturn law or write law. And they have been doing both for decades. People don't seem to recall the history of this.
    The SC tried pulling this shit during Thomas Jefferson days. When the SC tried declaring a law unconstitutional. Jefferson proclaimed that the SC could not do that BECAUSE then the Constitution would become a 'Thing of Clay' in the hands of a few despots' to be destroyed. The SC did not attempt that again. Then some law clerk made a "note" in the margin of one of their rulings that the SC ruled that law unconstitutional, and They have been using that ever since as the SC having that power. They have used/ told that lie over and over since then until now it's not even questioned.
    The SC is to rule according to the written law and the facts of a case. They cannot rule a law unconstitutional AND overturn that law. They can opine a law unconstitutional and recommend the CONGRESS rewrite the law.
    The SC is a CO EQUAL branch of govt. It does not have authority over Congress. In fact, the SC IS TO BE REGULATED AND have the oversight of Congress! Because they are not Kings over America. They are not even elected. WE ELECT OUR LAW MAKERS.
    THE SC HAVE THEMSELVES THIS UNCONSTITUTIONAL POWER. THE LIE HAS BEEN TOLD FOR SO LONG IT'S NOW CONSIDERED FACT. THEY ARE TO BE REGULATED BY CONGRESS.
    And we all know that power NEVER gives up the power they stole.
    We have to take it back and back in the hands of the people.
    In Citizens United and Mulvaney, the SC LITERALLY WROTE LAW. ONLY OUR ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES CAN WRITE LAWS.

    Seriously, in Germany you can vote while being imprisoned, just saying, but even if you argue that getting a temporary ban on voting is part of the punishment, in the US, the very moment one steps out of prison, upon being released, one has finsihed the punishment, it is over and in the past. The only inconvinience that person should have to go through is informing the district they'll settle in, that they are now living there and they need to be added to their local voting register, that's it! No more, no less!
    Instead the US slaps fees on these people, fees they'll probably not be able to pay since they most likely already lost everyting, since the US prison system is about punishment, instead of rehabilitation and resocialisation and even if they somehow manage to pay up they get subjected to ridiculous legal hoops they'll have to jump through, just to get a chance, A CHANCE , NOT A GUARANTEE to get the voting rights back! How screwed up is that?!
    But then one realises that this is the same country that has you pay steep fees to insurance companies just to have the option to sue them (and still loose) for the money in case you had suffered the very thing you had been insured against.

    I personally wouldn't call the US a civilised country, let a alone a first world country, under these circumstances one would be hard pressed to still categorise the US as a 2nd world country, if not even waaay lower down the list!
