In a wide-ranging discussion, Noam Chomsky and Chris Hedges discuss the war in Ukraine, the rising tide of global fascism, the climate catastrophe, and the role left to public intellectuals in an increasingly restrictive and censored media environment.

Noam Chomsky is the author of more than 150 books on topics that include linguistics, the press, the inner workings of empire, and the war industry.

  1. Chomsky, the Hamas' follower! He wish he could kill EVERYBODY! (And butcher all the Jews!)Chomsk is a regular Maoist and Hitlerian too!

  2. My aplologies, Chris, but since 9/11 Chumpsky seized to exist for me. Sure, he remains an intellectual, but what does it even mean, these days, when the ranks of "intellectual elite" are being swelled by Tony Blinkens and Maxine Waters and AnnaLena Baerbocks and etc.

  3. How does such a great minded leftist tell you to vote for a democrat in exchange for nothing every single election? I just don't get it.

  5. Go put up signs in their neighborhoods. Tell them to go back to europe. This is Miskinak ministik (turtle island)! REDMAN’S LAND. Not Satans. Definitely not Americans. Americans are like Jewish people. They are just Europeans who renamed themselves.

  6. Chomsky is a USA State Department hack. Since at least day 1 of his employment at MIT. HE'S also a pal of the late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. He's a fraud. 😂

  7. I met Howard Zinn once, at the Newton Library. I was in the DVD section, holding a Steven Seagal flick in one hand and, by sheer coincidence, Matt Damon's narration of The People's History in the other. Over my shoulder, someone says: "Go with the Seagal flick. Zinn's a windbag." It was Howard, and his self-effacing humor. I miss him forever.

  8. Holy shit. Chomsky is looking so fucking old and frail. He looks like a giant liverspot with a beard and a come over. I hope he's not suffering in his health. It has to be frustrating to still be so mentally well put together as he is in this video, but having to suffer the difference with your physical body no longer keeping up. After a while that decrepit meat suit of a body's gotta start feeling like a jail cell that's holding your mind hostage.

I'm not Chomsky's biggest fan, but I really do hope he's doing well…or at least okay enough to not be suffering as a matter of his daily life.

  9. Heard about him on Epstein’s plane? (& his wild response) & on the recent 💉 ? And on voting democrat every 4 years. He gave us manufacturing consent & also helped manufacture consent here & there

  10. berween hedges and chomsky, you can only weep for mankind. they have caused little inconvenience to our masters, chiefly because people do not listen, or do not hear, or do not understand, or are too busy finding a meal for self, and/or child.
neither one has made any case for democracy, to my knowledge, but until the people become citizens with the decisive power of state, no change is likely, and any change will be transitory.
they have not wasted their lives, but neither have they lifted the people of usa into citizenship. there was a genuine 'progressive' movement in usa, early 1900's, which did put the functions of democracy in the hands of the peope, in state matters. change is possible, but the leadership has not emerged, at the national level.
at best, hedge and chomsky are but 'john the baptist.'
real change needs a lenin, or better, a mao. mao is no democrat, but homo sapiens is not in general, of citizen quality. i will settle for a well-intentioned emperor.

  11. commies… always locking up those who don't agree with them..Chomsky no different…Noam Chomsky says the "right response" to the unvaccinated is "to insist that they be isolated" from society and them starving to death "Well, that's actually their problem." don't give genocidal maniacs a platform.
