In March, the DCCC announced its policy against progressive challengers of incumbent Dems. But the policy has been met with widespread scorn, and may be starting to backfire. Ryan Grim, Eugene Puryear, and Jacqueline Luqman discuss the situation

  1. We want the government to work for the people, not the "Elites" or corporations. Vote progressive and Bernie Sanders 2020, for a more just society.

  2. We have to support progressives! We the people! Support people who are trying to run against these deadbeat people in congress who don't even know the people who live in their districts let alone work for them!!!

  3. Everything is a rich man's trick. Everything is a rich, white man's trick. There is a video by that name as well. Youtube video: Everything is a Rich Man's Trick

  4. DCCC ring leader Rep. Cheri Bustos (D-Ill) is a patriarchal racist. HER DCCC official rule keeps women and PoC from seeking higher office. Thereby, Rep. Cheri Bustos (D-Ill) is a patriarchal racist.

  5. Sounds like more evidence of how women can be just as unqualified to represent anyone else as men. You can always rely on every individual to pursue their personal interests before the best interests of another. I don't think the advent of government was intended to function as a mob. The road to ruin, as they say, is paved with good intentions.

  6. The sooner we realize Dems and Repubs are the corporate parties, the better off Progressive values will be. We have a progressive people’s party called the Green Party. Ready to go. Nation wide (almost). All we need is candidates with the guts leave the corporate controlled parties. When the DCCC screws us again, I hope we can all stampede to the Green Party, with Bernie and Tulsi.

  7. If we can't get a real progressive who can bring meaningful change in 2020, it's time to move everyone over to a 3 party and boycott the Democratic Party. Nobody should ever vote Democratic again. Another thing we can do is make all states open primaries register as independents kneecap the politicians ability to target only Republicans and Democrats, they'll be forced to address all citizens!

  8. It’s not about being “old and white” damnit. It’s about policy. Watch yourself, Bernie is old and white, and he inspired this movement, so check your bias, please.

  9. That assumes they want to win. Had they wanted to win in 16, they clearly would have went with the ppl and nominated Bernie. But they did not.

  10. DCCC needs to change to NDCCC – the non-Democratic CCC. So now if I don't like my Democratic congress person, I won't be able to vote because no one can run a viable campaign against him/her during the primary. Well I guess though I could vote for the Republican in the general election. so the NDCCC is saying if you don't like our pre-selected candidate either don't vote or vote Republican. WTF is wrong with these corporate ass kissers?

  11. Does this come as a surprise to ANYONE?!

It illustrates a why Progressives are ditching the Establishment Dems. Not only do we pose a threat to their DONORS, but in truth, ALL THEY KNOW HOW TO DO IS LOSE.

If your tired of losing with incrementalism, perhaps THAT (incrementalism) is why you’re losing.

  12. The type of consultants that Eugene is talking about are more of the strategist variety. Ryan is describing more of the logistics type, they're not even really consultants.

  13. The DCCC is sowing the seeds of it's own extinction by trying to slow the growth of the progressive movement. They have officially declared is civil war on progressives, and it will not end well for these establishment sycophants…smh

  14. Sounds like an agenda groups such as "Justice Democrats" and others who already have organizations in place and the expertise within Their ranks to step up, advise and train newcomers into the industry for the people.

  15. Mailers and yard signs are both antiquated ideas, I'm 42 and neither method has ever persuaded me to vote for anyone. They are both just a waste of resources .

  16. being progressive is a way of life ..moving forward not back .. and the one party fits all is not working any longer republican and republican lite

  17. i wish progressives would stop talking about black vs white identity politics and focus on progressive issues — which would you rather have: Bernie or Kamala?

  18. Too many cliques and anagrams and I don't understand a thing. Old school English but Progressive I can understand.
