5. Thank You to Eddie and his guests for being voices in the free world for those inside that have little voice, if any. Of course, COVID can easily spread in prison/jail, because of the quarters/space of confinement. I mean, how do you not have close contact? Vaccines are very importante for anyone group confined in any institution. Trying to make everyone get them is another problem, such as even out here, I still know folks that are not getting the vaccine for various reasons, I got mine (Pfizer) back in January. Many people out here will not even blink an eye as far as incarcerated folks getting COVID, you have an element of population out here who look at prisoners as deserving of whatever they get from illness to death. The U.S. prison system is not like Norway, and is pretty crummy … especially in America, where every regular working person is simply considered as "capital" to the upper classes. I feel the only reason why the prisons even got vaccines so quick, is because the corporations that use inmates for cheap labour, and private prison investors pushed it, because they look at inmates as capital, and don't want them to be a liability. As far as legislation, as pointed out above … legislation on anything that benefits common people or workers, inmates, etc … is difficult, especially when our legislative policies are mainly drafted these days by corporate lobbyists, which includes the profiteers of the prison/jail industries.
