The religious right aspect of the Canadian Trucker Protest is, at best, a tempest in a teapot (if it's even true). There were several ideological groups who attached themselves to this protest. The actual organizers were ARRESTED and charged. None of them were leaders of Churches.
The other piece of misinformation here is WHY the truckers were in Ottawa. Even though many of them were already vaccinated, the Canadian regulations for cross-border access caused intolerable delays. Remember, the truck drivers remained in their trucks – no contact with others during cross-border access.
The Canadian Trucker Protest was a testament to the Trudeau government's incredible incompetence during the COVID-19 pandemic and NOT a right-wing conspiracy to undermine PM Trudeau.
$78 billion is still unaccounted for by this government, and record deficits continue without adequate accountability. This government is a disaster!
PS. I lean NDP when voting, but this trash piece of propaganda by Leenham is making me reconsider my options.

Bottom Line: The Trucker's Convoy was 100% about the Feds in Canada closing International borders(US) for Truckers. FACT – The US did exactly the same thing the very next day. This makes the Canadian Trucker's Convoy 100% MUTE. I suppose these Truckers could have stormed the US border points and take a chance at this time, although this would have been a very poor choice.
And the Extreme Right did start this all.

I'm Canadian and have voted left all of my life. This is a poor take. We don't need more, new labels and ways to divide us, thank you very much. The freedom of speech and basic human rights that were taken from us according to the very letter of our charter of rights are not a "Christian nationalist" exclusive value, they should concern every Canadian. THAT was and is what the convoy was about.

I was part of this protest. There were indeed a large group of truckers here and for weeks. With the amount of weed smell at the protest it would be hard to pigeonhole it as "Christian" or right-wing. I met with friends at the protest I hadn't seen in a long time, friends from Congo and Cameron. I saw many Sikh, Native American, and Asian protesters. The throughline we all held was freedom. I haven't heard of many of the things the lady said in the video, and I was pretty deep into this protest. I think this interview and maybe channel has an agenda to push and that has predisposed them to report or misstate things this way.
Is that all this person has to say about the convoys, to pick on the very, very few Christian ministers out there??? The truckers parked and became a sitting target 🎯, a couple of decades ago we did a Union protest in Hartford by having thousands of CWA members just drive into the city during rush hours and jammed up the city to gridlock and went home. Nothing illegal to get arrested for, just driving that’s it! But very effective!
