Imagine being in favor of government bail outs. . . Imagine thinking your on the side of the people and want to protect them from tyranny and at the same time be telling people we need to empower the government to do more. Imagine thinking printing off more money with no backing will do anything but inflate the dollar, lower the value of your earnings, and ruin your savings. This will only serve the rich to make the gap between peon and autocrat further away. Imagine thinking its okay to shut the country down over the flu. . . . that is where we are people. The most elementary idea of stimulus is to give money directly to workers. They will spend it.
The meaning of stimulus has been changed and twisted by the elites that dominate government. We should be pushing for conditions (like prohibiting stock buybacks, which obviously do not benefit us) on bailouts and corporate welfare which is part of the orthodoxy of stimulus. AOC and a few others have been keying on this. We should be getting behind them.
