As Julian Assange continues to fight extradition to the United States to face prosecution under the Espionage Act, a growing chorus of voices is rising to demand an end to his persecution. Hounded by US law enforcement and its allies for more than a decade, Assange has been stripped of all personal and civil liberties for the crime of exposing the extent of US atrocities during the War on Terror. In the intervening years, it’s become nakedly apparent that the intent of the US government is not only to silence Assange in particular, but to send a message to whistleblowers and journalists everywhere on the consequences of speaking truth to power. Former British ambassador to Uzbekistan, Craig Murray, who was fired for exposing the CIA’s use of torture in the country, joins The Chris Hedges Report to discuss what Julian Assange’s fight means for all of us.

  1. Pray for Julian.
    The Unity prayer.
    My adorable Jesus,
    May our feet journey together,
May our hands gather in unity,
May our hearts beat in unison,
May our souls be in harmony,
May our thoughts be as one,
May our ears listen to the silence together,
May our glances profoundly penetrate each other,
May our lips pray together to gain mercy from the eternal father.
Amen. Prayer to blind demons with imprimatur.

  2. Absolutely disgusting it’s sooo cruel words fail me…they have will fully handed Julian Assange with a fate worse than death very very cruel and evil a very very slow painful death barbaric we should all take note!

  3. Anthony fauci &gates,100 million dead murderers have 4trillion dollars, Julian Assange journalist for free reporting 10 years in prison.

  4. America has been So Much Worse At Violating Human Rights, Perpetrated Much More Crimes against Humanity than Russia or China. Only the Bloody Killers have Rights according to the Slaughter Machine of America.

  5. Salute Truth Teller's, who Do Justice without The Gowns and Wigs. 🙋🙋🙋🙋🙋🙋🙋🙋🙋🙋🙋🙋🙋🙋🙋

  6. FREE JULIAN ASSANGE NOW!!! HE WAS ONLY TELLING THE TRUTH ABOUT THE CRIMINAL'S IN POWER!!!😇🌟🤗🙏🙏🙏🇨🇦🇮🇱♾️🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🦅🗽‼️

  7. Their is a Haitien senator named Guy philip. Who was arrested in Haiti by DEA under the request of the Gouvernment in 2017. The senator was arrested when coming out after given an interview to a journalist. The senator expend almost 7 years in prison in the US at Florida. Now the senator guy phillip is out of since about 2 months finish his term in prison. Expecting to go back to Haiti. ICE keep him in detention more then 21 days and refuse to send him back to Haiti. He can not speak to even his mother. Now the Senator enter a starving phase. Because he scare to eat thinking that it is not safe. They want to kill him slowly. Democracy_- demagoguery.

  8. report failure to expose a crisis actor control op asspange. bring back the crossing dressing trans bradley manning rediculous story now thats entertainment. next this channel will be praising snowden as a hero blower who did nothing but share info that was already on the web.

  9. It just shows again how corrupt beyond words the justice system is and how much they (the USA) want to take revenge on Assange and make him into an example no other journalist will dare to follow. But times change… slowly but surely, and I still have hope that Assange will be set free in a foreseeable time.

  10. The case goes on for so long, that the public gradually looses touch with it. It’s like the law is being made up by the judges as things progress. Systemic failure of the democratic process.

  11. Free Assange FFS. I don't know that much about the details but it sounds like they are torturing him until he reveals the source of the leak.
Is torture legal in this day and age?

  12. Assange should stop facing extradition and come to the US to embrace his fate. His support in America grows every day after Washington released a bioweapon to manipulate and steal an election.

  13. Maybe if he hadn't weaponized the information he stole but he did and he did it for trump so let him twist. Edward Snowden is the one who deserves to come home

  14. what the UK and its kangaroo courts have done to Assange is absolutely disgusting and sickening – it stinks of corruption and abuse of power.

  15. Guilty until proven Guilty !
Shocking what is happening in the Western World !
Democracy and freedom of speech is well and truly over !
Giving our corrupt governments the ability to do exactly what they want , without any comeback whatsoever !
Get prepared for tough times ( for decades ) to come !

  16. Proof once again that the "justice systems" in multiple governments are the external facade by which "democratic" governments in the west pretend to administer justice but instead actually rule over the people and bypass law and constitutions.

  17. Assange is a canary in the coal mine. We stand together or hang separately. The National Security establishment lobbyist machine will be discredited by all future generations.

  18. Much preaching to the choir in these comments, all people of good character and conscience, I do not criticise or judge. Seeing Craig Murray’s pain of acceptance that a judicial system he believed in is a lie is a sentiment I can relate to. I must now accept certain undeniable facts about the world as it now is. Whatever you think of Assange the whole story has all the elements of a major news rating story yet no coverage. There are justice systems in the UK & USA capable of delivering the truth albeit a flawed system but deserving of our trust but the laws and rules of court are overruled, facts denied, evidence not allowed without question and review of any decisions not allowed. I don’t even see the point trying to state things clearer. Truth, justice, guilt, innocence is what you will be told it is whether you can prove otherwise or not. You are now held in such contempt your opinion so worthless that no excuse, reason, or even an obvious lie will be given in reply to your inconvenient questions. If you cannot become the engineer of your own early dementia and show gratitude for your opinion being delivered via social media, if you cannot accept that you will know and have nothing and be happy. If that is too unappealing you can trade your remaining social credits for a pallet of baked beans, two rolls of toilet paper, and a pen possibly a box of matches then retreat to the wilderness and commune with woodland creatures when not writing your manifesto.
