  1. The world bank just cut Haiti a 163 million dollar check for infrastructure and education. This shows how sinister the United States is. I wouldn't be surprised if they were in on the theft of the petrocaribe money in Haiti jsut so the could undermine Venezuela and come in dropping this chump change to buy Haiti's vote.

  2. Conservative president of the Dominican Republic? I do wish the president of my country was a bit more progressive, but he is not a conservative. Unfortunately, the pressures of the US in our country is too strong.

  3. Chavez had set up a petrol deal with some of the Caribbean countries called petro-caribe where these islands were purchasing oil at reduced prices with the option to pay the balance in other goods and services.

  4. Venezuela blew their chances by letting Red China get a foothold.
Don't forget for one second that U.S. corporations had their property stolen and their influence on both political parties.

  5. All the USA had to do was remind all these countries of their access to IMF loans and that is all it takes. I am ashamed to see my country of birth (Dominican Republic) siding with the obvious attempt to isolate the sovereign nation of Venezuela. Plain and simple Maduro is the elected President, Guaido is a self-appointed USA puppet.

  6. Quote: " The island nations of the Caribbean Community, or Caricom, have become increasingly divided as the Trump administration is working to win the back and oppose the Maduro government … ". Win the back of what; what back?

  7. A lot of drugs, money laundering, human trafficking and immense corruption going on in the Caribbean and we haven't even gotten into the gang violence and crime yet

  8. I hope the usa naval blockades venezuala followed up by airstrikes to cripple their oil infrastructure,if they want to lay with communist chinese usa should treat them as such and before they say ohh but russia…give me a break columbia and brazil want that oil as well and will help the usa because they are in heavy debt to imf,usa gives them millions in aid and they also want venezualas oil so russia can do nothing

  9. Antigua and Barbuda represents solid beliefs in democracy and independent policies and I respect that, countries like Jamaica and the puppets nations are ass holes.

  10. So unless its a drooling idiot from Maryland, or a 2nd rate communist professor, you refuse to have any Black people on your show as guests ….. even on an issue from the Caribbean

  11. Maximilian Forte at Zero Anthropology has written in more detail about this ongoing issue. I certainly respect Dr. Sprague's scholarship but this discussion seemed a bit sparse on content, specifically efforts by Prime Minister Rowley of Trinidad to engage in dialogue mediated by Mexico.

  12. One can expect even worse embarrassing (epic fail) ventures by the United States Govt. given it's 100 year long history of savage failed colonialism and attempts to destroy democracy of various Latin and South American nations.

  13. All the islands are full of lazy citizens and crooked governments. There shitholes countries that live off screwing tourist. I've sailed them all.

  14. When Venezuela helped this countries it was good, now that they do not have the help anymore this count, islands are now turning against Venezuela to benefit trump to go against the country who help them. This politicians are very shameless and very corrupt.

  15. Bob I agree 100% percent this small islands depend so much on the decrees of the US , that like Ecuador they sale themselves to continue to be in power.

  16. Majority of the Jamaican People support Venezuela. The United States will only bring downfall to the government of Jamaica if they continue supporting United States intervention in Venezuela
