    For the US to attack Iran for, a spurious reason, means disaster 10 times worse than the Iraq debacle.
    – It won't be easy, Iran will resist, the people will unite against the aggressor
    – the cost will be great, throughout the Middle East
    – Russia will win the Middle East, ally with and arm the Iranians with modern weapons, provide a nuclear guarantee in return for oil but more importantly, a naval base (and air base) with direct access to the Indian Ocean. US bases around the Persian Gulf will be nullified.
    – China will sneak in, also acquiring a naval base (and air base) but importantly to China, secure access o Iran's oil and gas while easing the strategic "Belt Road" into Africa
    Basically the US strategy is inept, another step in the decline in power.
