Identity politics is a losing game in 2020. If the Democrats allow the race to be run on the GOP terms of racism it is a muddy mess of a fight which will turn off voters and embolden the white supremacists to turn out in support of the GOP. If we stick to politics like Medicare for All which is popular with a majority of the population we will expand the electorate and win. Fighting climate change is also an issue which can expand the electorate renewable energy is very popular we need to focus on groups like Sunrise Movement which can bring in first time of disengaged people.
