3. This response is late because I just came into contact with this video. However, while I applaud the efforts of Code Pink and Popular Resistance in their attempt to obtain a reversal of the Trump's decision; it makes more sense to me that instead of targetting the politicians, it would be more effective if they targetted the rank and file Americans, many of whom who don't know a damn thing about the illegalities their government perpetrated on Iran 67 years ago; because the media networks in the US are not designed to disseminate this kind of information.

   What they need to do is to carry out a campaign of information concerning the 1953 and 1979 revolutions to educate the average American about the real issue that divides the two countries; because the average person is totally in the dark about this and believes that Iran is this evil terrorist country that is seeking to destroy Israel when in fact the reverse is more true. The US TV networks broadcast all kinds of lies and misinformation about Iran and somebody has to put the other side of this coin.

   This could be done via a series of you-tube videos or a combination of other social media videos and leaflets. It doesn't have to be lengthy just sticking to the bare bones, and request that they the people demand of their politicians, when seeking election, to immediately roll back all of these unwarranted economic sanctions imposed on Iran; and that they climb down from this aggressive posture that is not only hurting the Iranians but also the Americans as well.

I'm all for improving Iran/US relations, returning to the nuclear deal etc. Then there is the case of Nasrin Sotoudeh, human rights lawyer just condemned to a further long prison sentence for her work. Seems odd perhaps, given the situation as described by Medea at al., and in contradiction with their position. But there are many elements in Iran who do not want anything to improve and I think such an action may be meant to serve the US warmongers' as a pretext to stay sour on peace. Complicated orient – the Persians too are masters of it, their leaders not always promoting the interests of the people.

35. I lived in Iran from 1976 -1982, Before, during and after the Revolution. Of the 10 countries I have lived, it is my favorite. I saw the Shah Leave & Khomeini come back, I saw the American Failed attempt to rescue the Hostages. I saw the signs “Yankee Went Home” I eventually testified in World Court against Iran as the only Fact Witness. In hindsight I regret preparing that Claim and testifying against them. Persia is a Fabulous Country!!
