And they said covid hurt children's education teachers stop bleeting your the ones hurting kids education
welcome to reality of "trickel down economy", just another name for feudal system.
I used to be a teacher. You will need. Good A levels; 3 year degree and a PGCE, or a four year B.ed, Then a year of practice to achieve your QTS ,before you are fully qualified. Then you are on a ladder, each year you are scrutinised and have to tick boxes on arbitrary targets (which seem to have little to do with the children in your care), to step-up for a pay rise. Meanhile you are expected to do unpaid extras. Since the Tories got in, pay has effectively fallen due to inflation, whilst class sizes have increased and the workload that it represents. Pay has always been calculated as lower due to teachers "enjoying" holidays. But temporary and auxilliary staff are paid by the hour, or by the day, and are prevented from claiming unemplyment benefits during the breaks. The government have always relied on the good will and dedication of teachers, but many no longer see it as a viable career, and have left the profession for an easier life elsewhere. Recruitment in maths and science has always been low, and many teachers form other subjects are expected to cover in these areas. Richi can bleat on about more maths, but he will need to do more than talk.
These scrounging perma students make me sick. Why do you all think you are a special case and entitled to more when work the least hours of ALL public servants?? You already earn more than nurses who work infinitely harder than any of you. Teachers are already very overpaid and underworked. They should have a pay cut to pay for more important workers who actually earn their money. The public are so sick of hearing your pitiful excuses… Nobody wants to work in teaching?! Of course you do, it's such an easy ride. Tell you what, leave, try and do a normal hours job and i will guarantee you will run right back to teaching in under a week.
Teachers please keep up the good strike. My kids go to private school anyways so not affected and your strike action helps with the traffic a lot
How are the students' tests compared to private schools?
Wedging an open war against a country is costly in terms of finances and human resources, warns a far eastern wisdom.
However, thwart its edicational system and introduce massive corruption within that particular country, and over period of time, 20 yesrs for instance, one would have destroyed the such a country. No need here to specify that the country would have been broken, probably beyond any repair!
If we all look around us, one will not fail to notice the all of the above are what prevail in each country around the globe because education is no longer a duty of the state. In fact, the state has surrendered and relinquinshed this duty to the private sector. Some countries that claim to be rich and civilised nations have now resorted to fishing out hilghy qualified manpower from third world countries rather than have their efucation budgets increased to meet the challenge head on. Too bad, I am afraid.
Lazy wankers, teachers work FAR LESS hours than any other employees, yet they demand more pay,??? , they are feather bedded, if they want more money, go into the workplace and try to fond a job that pays better than what they "earn"
Instead billions being wasted on the war in Ukraine
Bad PM n top leadership in Britain. Unfeeling n uncaring of the woes of the average citizen while it indulges in the merchant war role being the second largest suppliers of arms n monetary funds in Ukraine war ..to help with more death in the battlefield.
Serve your people n nation.first!
Oh.. What a fish!
WAKE UP! PM Sunak!
The Hungarian government destroys education system and teachers as well. How do we allow these polititians to stay in power?
The whole system is need of change, higher pay isn't the answer to their problems. They definitely deserve higher pay though.
Teachers are just expensive child minders, if a Teachers can't manage without going to food banks with a starting salary of 26000.just leave and get a real job
A lot of these teachers are talking about 'the importance of leisure'.. is that really a priority?? Education in the UK is pretty abysmal at the bet of times. Admittedly the cuts do not help, but it is the schools that need money, not all the teachers. I work for myself and have a permanent position in clinical research, and we get a 20% bonus if management feel we have deserved it. That is the way it should be; not some sweeping pay rise for everyone, just because there is a cost of living crisis. Otherwise, where does it end?? When inflation comes down in the next 24 months, teachers will have to shop up then for a few years, because teaching, like being a nurse, is a vocation. If you feel hard done by, or you find life expensive, so do many others, but going on strike because it's a bit tough right now, and expecting the tax payer to foot your lives, is not really acceptable. Like a train driver on £55K a year? If he finds that tough and can't go on holiday this year, then that's tough cookies!! You manage on what you have and may have to sacrifice occasionally, but that's life. I would not want to pay more tax to fund someone like that! Does having a couple of thousand more a year make you a BETTER teacher? It shouldn't do, in the same way that a Doctor or pilot or train driver should be trained and able to do their job, whether they are on 100k or 110K, etc. Also, if some schools actually started teaching children useful activities like how to wash their hands after using the toilet (disgusting that kids don't even learn at home), sew a button, bake a cage, cook meals, learn manners and respect and how to write. Not invite LGBTQ and transgender misfits into classrooms, and waste time on this, biased religious views and turning children into sheep, I might think they deserve some reward. Until that happens, stop whining and moaning. You have had a massive holiday during Covid which many of us didn't!
POWER TO THE PEOPLE. United we stand, divided we fall.
Do you mean it's about Pay??? It's freedom you need…
I am totally with the UK teacher strike. This needs to happen all around the world, especially here in America. It's good to know I am not the only one struggling out here trying to live and survive. I've been teaching in the good ole U.S.A. for over 10 years, financially struggling, just like the protestors said in the video. It's is unfortunate that these countries don't value the educators, but it is like one commenter said they don't need good teachers to raise psychopaths. In honesty I believe its all in the master plan to filter out good, honest teachers. Replace the warm hearted, caring teachers with sterile, nonemotional, non compassionate individuals or A.I. to teach the children. More mindless, heartless people in the world the better for them to control. Hunger games anyone?
Just checkout BBC's coverage on this compared to other news, you can tell how much the gov cares.
Wow. Solid.
✊✊✊general strike💚💚💚
I GUESS THE CHILDREN IS NOT THE FUTURE
IT'S UKRAINE
Really good report.
The UK needs a socialist party to create a true democratic government to meet the needs of working people. Labour is just another neoliberal party of international capitalism & war.
Its way more important to house economic refugees in 5 star hotels then providing citizens with a paltry/propagandist education . I am ready to be proven wrong.
All of us who are the working class are the cogs in the machine, and when the cogs wear down, they stop working. Society needs these people to function. I support these people. I only wish people in my country the US understood that instead of being the failures that we are.
Not like they was teaching anything anyways
Yes, we teachers go above and beyond, and then parents are never satisfied. Government feels its better to push woke ideology all around the west and promote AI, and kill jobs. Time to stand up and jail the liars. Pay teachers and all the essential workers fairly. AND PLEASE NO MORE PLANDEMICS!….. and then tell us to get a shit jab to go to work!
The teacher strikes impact the whole society, may ignite a general strike. It is the time for the working class to demand fairer shares of the nation's fortunes.
Zelenskyy and Biden have convinced the Brits to give Na**s in Ukraine the equivalent of £10,000 per every teacher in the UK, and they couldn't have done it without the Labour Party's collusion.
