I think it has to be to keep the people down, and the current power structure in place … it is a big fake, like our idea of democracy is. If the military budget and current size were cut by 50% The US military would still be larger than the next 7 largest militaries combined . And half of those are our allies including genocidal , cutting off heads of : having sex out of wedlock(while in the palaces of the House of Saud is whoring with hundreds of females) , criticising the House of Saud , drinking a beer or two, etc House of Saud .

    It is high time we cut the military at the very least by half and "beat those swords in ploughshares " meaning : national infrastructure repair and development , medicare for all , public education from k-12, two and four year colleges and universities and for PhD, M.D.s, D.Os etc ; and making public all vital goods and services including banking .

    In addition , those in the 8 figures of US dollars all the way up to the billionaires should pay income and wealth tax starting at 50% after first million dollars and progressing higher when you get into the 9 figures to billionaires . THIS IS NOT ROBBERY . These people have made their fortunes off the intellectual workers to the labor workers increasingly hard work for less pay and longer inhuman work weeks . Noblesse Oblige = From those who have much , Much is expected back to the society you made your fortunes off of .
