The economic sanctions have severely affected Venezuela’s ability to import life-saving medicines. At least one community, however, is responding by creating their own solidarity pharmacy. Michael Fox reports

  1. Evil is the only word to describe a nation so depraved it will deprive innocent people including children of essential Medicines to achieve its Political and Strategic goals.

  2. If Venezuelans are dying because of lack of access to medicine the US blockades, this an act of war against a sovereign nation.

  3. This started before US sanctions and has to do with Venezuelan politicians corruption and careless and absolute mismanagement of the chavismo. The government in Venezuela is not socialism, is a dictatorship. Don’t use the tragedy of Venezuelans to promote political idealism.
The only part is the that is true in this article is that Venezuelans care for each other and that there is solidarity among regular honest citizens.

  4. Short, but very excellent report, informing us of the essential information about this awfully sad situation. Washington should take its damn sanctions and shove them up its ass; excuse my language. It's incredible that Washington isn't stopped by an assembly, say, of other countries. ALL other countries should disregard US/Washington sanctions and just see to providing the aid that's needed. Washington must NOT be treated as if it's RULER of this world; definitely not.

  5. The US is a weapon of mass destruction, the people are too arogant and ignorant to understand. This scenario has been played out over and over around the globe and the people of the world are to blame for letting a small group to lead them around like cattle; it's PATHETIC! One has to ask themselves how long can this tyrannical irony carry on

  6. Trumpian sanctions, are an act of war against Venezuela's civilian poor. Sanctions are the preferred form of killing in mass, over gassing or carpet bombing. No mass graves visible, the suffering of the poor is contained, veiled by political propaganda and out of view by distance and lack of real press coverage. Voltaire 18c, "When they can make you believe absurdities, they can make you commit atrocities." Heads out of the sand !

  7. And the stupid „average“ American is backing the sanctions by supporting the current administration.
It’s not the government alone …. it’s the people in the USA, killing the people in Venezuela.
They should not blame it on the government.

  8. US government sanctions are killing innocent people in Venezuela! That makes for a change from drone killings of innocents (otherwise labelled collateral damage) in about 8 other countries of the world! But they mean well?!

  9. Modern warfare has taken a truly ugly and cruel path. The targets are the civilian masses, who are harmed in the cruelest way. Yet, it doesn't look like warfare in the traditional sense. The consequences are somewhat akin to setting off a neutron bomb, killing only the people and leaving the valuable aspects of the infrastructure. Propaganda and brainwashing are the icing on this cruel cake. Sad and pathetic!

  10. Isn't this beautiful, politicians making life miserable because they want oil, the working and middle class banding together and helping each other

  11. The truly pathetic thing with this situation is that the scourge of diseases such as cancer are a result of the adoption of the modern western food industry diet and lifestyle. The obesity and diabetes epidemic that is seen in countries such as Venezuela are only reflective of what has also been taking place here in the states. The Venezuelan people need to become educated about how to reverse such diseases as cancer via changing their diet and utilizing the natural herbal medicines which the land around them provides. These expensive and ultimately toxic medications in many cases are not the answer, yet the people and the medical system have been duped into believing that they are.
