  1. Hate to break it to unions but if they think they can't legally stop people from educating their own children, they're dreaming. Perhaps they should ask why middle class families would spend thousands of dollars a year on private or home schooling instead of using free public schools. How much did free have to suck for people to send that much to avoid it?

  2. The modem educator: give us money and we'll decide how well your children are educated and if you don't think we're doing a good job … Give us more money.

  3. Must be nice to be able to hold children hostage to get a pay raise. Nothing like being able to withhold a state monopoly service to override the democratic process. And no merit pay! Merit sucks! Nobody in real world gets paid on merit.

  4. Teachers: we want better pay.
Also teachers: buys a brand new car off the dealership and a nice house even though they can’t afford it yet.

  5. Merit pay, especially in public service, generally works like this: if they determine you do a great job you get satisfactory evaluation and little or no pay increase. If they determine you do a bad job they put you on probation. And how do they determine these things? there is no rational method of determining that and they certainly won't explain it.

  6. Wow that superintendent almost seemed genuine. If you didn't know, you don't get to be superintendent without selling out.

The job of a superintendent in 2019 is to lobby AGAINST teachers. That superintendent is literally BRUTUS / JUDAS! Stabbing their friends in the back while acting like the good guy, anti-christ.
