46. Great question at the end: why is the European position on Iran so different from that on Venezuela? Prasad recalled some valid points, but did not really answer the question (I understand that the Latin American theatre is probably not his main focus). It's all well and good to remark on Europe's hypocrisy and lack of direct self interest, but that doesn't explain their blatant support of the US (transnational oligarchic) coup and disregard for international law. I'm still hankering for a response. What's in it for Europe (Japan, etc.). At least for Canada, I know it's mining and continued or increased spoliation of South America's resources for essentially private interests.
