While PAR conducted two separate investigations into the case, the brutal arrest and tasering of cab driver Lufti Saalim at a Toledo, Ohio, Walmart went unreported by local news for over a year after the incident. In their reporting, moreover, these local corporate media outposts did not receive comments from law enforcement or the victim of police brutality. This superficial coverage of a case involving excessive force by police highlights larger problems with corporate media’s for-profit model and its ability to interrogate or challenge the official (and well-funded) law enforcement narratives. In this installment of PAR, journalists Taya Graham and Stephen Janis look at what gets “lost in translation†when corporate media covers police brutality and overreach.

There was no news investagaton thst should be suied for misderect the way he was treated
Thsts clearly an asalt on the cab driver and Thsy won't.find no wrong doing cause it's all wrong
The reporter Is not enygood but the cops probably pay to keep it from being all seen thay won't let the public see the hole thing
It was a abuse of force
The cop goes strat to abuse
What do USA cops not understand about Tasters not being used for compliance????😡😡😡
I really hope I don't witness anything like that…….
Watching the footage again, it seemed like when the cop was saying stop resisting. He was actually implying ,stop resisting & let me Taze you !
If you're in the car it's not parking. If anything,he was standing and the cop simply had to ask him to move along
This is WAY BEYOND ridiculous!! The cop asked for his license, gave him less than 5 seconds to respond!! Then pulls his tazer!! The man was obviously scared, which the cop intended, then proceeds to taze him! Then.. continues to taze him!! Even though he did nothing wrong! Then to top it off, the mainstream media didn't even cover the story correctly!
Boycott WALMART!
Skin is your sin brother.
The thing that I find most obvious is that all of this happened over what was perceived to be a parking violation. Last time I heard a parking violation was a ticket, not 50,000 volts and a violent arrest.
Hahahahha we policed ourselves and we didn’t do anything wrong all P&P’s were followed
They do hurt
It always amazes me how cops get bent when the taser misfires and they then just hold the trigger down who in thier right mind isn’t going to try get away from the taser.
In these cases, citizens need to bombard the police stations these bad cops work out of with phone calls, letters, and e-mails. You also have to give the video footage to the Attorney General's Office (federal and state), the Inspector General's Office (federal and state), the local ACLU office, NAACP, and Black Lives Matter chapter (in some cases), and anti-police terrorist organizations on YouTube, Facebook, and the Internet. In other words, NETWORK. The more police misconduct goes viral,,, the better. Corrupt cops, D.A.s, and police unions don't want the Spotlight of Truth shining on them!!! WATCH YouTube videos of First Amendment Auditors OR Civil Rights Auditors: News Now Community, Amagansett Press, James Madison Audits, James Freeman, Rights Crispy, Rogue Nation, Wolfy Gladly, Big Nick South Florida Accountability, Accountability for All, Bay Area Transparency, and MORE. GOAL: Stop police abuse and misconduct!
Why would you not add links to your 2 original videos to this report ?
That local media sounds like they need mental help somebody should call for a welfare check on them
Sounds to me like Walmart bought more than just the police but the local media as well
