Pete Buttigieg’s sudden shift from supporting to opposing Medicare for All has been remarkable. It no doubt has something to do with his fundraising, says RootsAction.org’s Norman Solomon.

  1. Mayor Pete sells out The People every time he opens his Corporate taught Corporate funded mouth! M4A is for the people Mayor Pete!
Pete you are a McKinsey & Company (look these people up) Buffon who will say whatever his Corporate masters/Donors tell him to.
Before you run for President you should answer the questions from your constituents in South Bend

  2. As Buttigieg has never pivoted on Medicare for All, the question is pointless. Too bad that many people are too dumb to understand that refusing to make something obligatory does not mean you are against the goal as such (and Buttigieg never argued in the past for outlawing private health insurance – "Medicare for All" was just generally accepted short-hand for universal healthcare back in early 2018). And conversely, that making an offer "to all (who want it)" is a perfectly legit policy and certainly not proof of opposing it. Linking this (non-existing, supposed) flip-flop to fundraising is an assertion backed by zero evidence.

  3. Well, Buttigieg hopefully will be defeated, and the more strongly, the better. He's clearly not campaigning in the BEST INTERESTS of the general population of the country. Americans who support him and don't SEE his betrayal are a bunch of dumb, blind, … sheeple, … at best.

  4. I like Mayor Pete. That said, he has a lot of problems in his city of South Bend that reflect America. We are talking racial disparity and police dept which does not reflect the population in his city. He is also taking big pharma pac money which I totally oppose. He is young and has time. As much as he knows, he still has a lot more to learn. When he sucessfully solves the issues in his city, then he can come to the table and talk about the issues of the country. BTW drug prices are a major drain on the families in America and also a reason many people die prematurely.

  5. These purity tests will cost the Democrats the election. I feel like I am listening to the Communists Party of America. Healthcare may be a human right but adopting a healthy lifestyle is an individual responsibility.

  6. you make it seem like bernie and warren support m4a the same way. One has been fighting for it for decades, ran for president on it when it was unpopular, and wrote a bill on how to implement it, while the other only recently jumped on board and considers it more of a "framework" of how to get everyone "access" to healthcare.

  7. READING THESE COMMENTS (NO DESIRE TO WATCH A BASH VIDEO) IT SEEMS YOU GUYS NEED TO START A NEW PARTY. MAYBE IT'S BERNIE WHO'S BEING DISINGENUOUS CALLING HIMSELF A DEMOCRAT.

  8. The prime motivation for the plutocrats and their Corporate Democrats is to stop Bernie at all costs. All other candidates appear to have some distribution of affiliation to the plutocrats from Warren, who is probably the least owned, to someone like Biden who appears to be totally owned. This distribution can and will be confirmed by how much attention the plutocrats mainstream media dedicates to these individual candidates over the next year. Apart from that, expect to see strategies from these plutocratic puppets not seen before to kneecap Bernie yet again. Always remember, DNC lawyers argued the plutocrats’ DNC has the “Right” to pick candidates in back room deals: https://observer.com/2017/05/dnc-lawsuit-presidential-primaries-bernie-sanders-supporters/

  9. Here's what's behind it: An understanding of where the American people stand on the issue and the willingness to let them CHOOSE their own plan rather than have one they might be happy with ripped from their hands.
