5. Only 3 Supreme Court justices who happen to be of a dark shade only tells me that this country is so far behind the times as well as evolution. The very first black Supreme Court Justice was a civil rights lawyer who in numerous cases had to sneak his way into very racist towns to address racial injustice. One particular way for him to arrive without being lynched before a case was to hide in a coffin which was being transported by a hearse. That's a misanthropic shame for a country of liberty and justice. Smh

6. The court fees alone for an uncontested divorce in Los Angeles county are approximately $3000, (per person) where in my county, Orange, neighboring Los Angeles, they were $189 when I filed, and $289 the following year.
   When my newborn son was stolen for sale by a corrupt Foster Family Agency (the Los Angeles Children's Bureau), the assigned attorneys placed a $10000 Lien on my ex-wife's & my bank account, labelled "legal fees", causing our rent checks to bounce, before even the first hearing occurred.
   Despite only working for 6 billable hours on the case, and forfeiting our rights every time they spoke, they kept the $10k, while other attorneys I never met billed us for years of Child Support that never reached the wealthy couple who purchased my son.

9. The court system is not difficult to understand. Its very easy to get it. The system itself makes it seem hard to get. On purpose. Most don’t realize how corrupt it is. Once you know the basics, it’s a beautiful thing. I had to learn the hard way. I am 73 yrs old, and learned a lot over the years. Always defending myself. I never use a attorney. In my view, the judge is not the problem, it’s the legal community or society at large. Not down playing what you young people are doing, it’s great to hear and see what you are doing, but, you guys don’t have a clue, yet! You are close however. First understand you are a man or woman, not a person. Start with that. Understand this concept first. Remember, first there is the creator, then the man/woman, (we the people), then government/courts, then corporations. Let’s see if you figure this out. Good luck to you. 13. I'd like to see a 14-year term limit for all federal judges.
    Also a 12-year term limit for senators and an 8-year term limit for congressional representatives.
    We have way too many people who are sitting in the government for too long.

14. For thousands of years citizens have been frustrated by their inability easily operate the levers of power that control their governments. Every generation raises what appears to be alternating Generations of feast and famine where the young are often envious of the old, frustration builds, Revolt happens, things improve, the feast begins again and a new generation is born who enjoys the bounty, pillages the planet and their fellow citizens and in one or two generations the famine begins again. An intelligent species would throttle their civilization to a sustainable level and avoid oppressing their citizens and avoid periods of conflict and Revolt. In the American system of civilization the only shock collar that seems to work with corrupt politicians who are the majority at every level is either voting them out, or indicting them and making them an example through prosecution. However if that prosecution has a track record of being weak, ineffective or corrupt we end up with what we have today, a large population of politicians, judges, district attorney's and police officers who operate with impunity. This sort of corrupt system allows the rape and pillage of society to continue and due to the number of people on planet Earth today our dysfunctional state has become an existential crisis because the highly toxic effect on the environment is overwhelming every other species and planetary system. An example of this dysfunction is the fact that blacks are supporting Joe Biden instead of the only presidential candidate who spent 40 years volunteering in the projects. An example of this dysfunction is the Sunrise Movement supporting Joe Biden, instead of the only presidential candidate who actually designed Renewable Energy systems and passed renewable energy law unanimously at the national level and plans to make America a zero emission nation in just two years because we can and must to dodge extinction in well under a decade, perhaps just a few years. A vote for Biden is effectively a vote for extinction. An example of this dysfunction is that nurses are supporting Joe Biden instead of the only presidential candidate who designed Healthcare systems for hospitals and hmos and is pushing for free universal healthcare, no co-pay, no premiums and no waiting around when you need a referral. These Progressive policies are required to avoid Extinction, and yet citizens across America are either going to vote for one senile Masher or another, the only difference being that one is a little more racist, and one of them appears willing to listen to their advisors. That is the big difference with Joe. In normal circumstances that would be an improvement. However, we don't have five years to fix our climate problem and unless everyone bands together and focuses and forces Joe Biden to accelerate his Green New Deal and make it comprehensive enough to handle what is about to become a superheated rock we all die, taking down every other life form on Earth. The solution from a political perspective is not to protest, rather it is to indict and prosecute at a faster pace. Instead of requiring 1000 people to gather with cardboard signs and get maced, 12 to 25 people can get together and draft an indictment at sites like wewillshutyoudown, file it as a citizens' grand jury and get action immediately. If a district attorney or attorney general refuses to take action and enough citizen grand juries Demand Action then they should indict the public official who is refusing to prosecute and remind them that if these defects in society or conduct of a politician are killing lives there is no statute on murder and those inept or corrupt politicians are complicit and therefore even if they cannot be prosecuted today these citizen grand juries intend to put the people in office who WILL prosecute them. Do that and actually prosecute people based on the very real loss of lives and very real existing statutes and it won't take long for every politician to straighten up or retire. If you fail to do that then every politician eager to gamble their reputation and time outside of prison for ill-gotten gains will join the feast, make the wager and ignore the consequences which are virtually non-existent save extinction and they don't care. If there were consequences to corrupt corrupt intent and deed three-quarters of Congress and state legislatures would be in jail and the president would be tied to a post on the White House lawn for all to see. Whether his feet touched the ground or not would be up to the jury and if honest prosecutors and jurors held a Trump trial I doubt they would, and I dare say a 24/7 close-up of the drip drop plop of empty shoes falling to the White House lawn from former owners who no longer needed them would make great sport for bookies and far better broadcast than CSPAN, and our nation and planet's recovery MIGHT finally begin. No such luck and all the painful protests on planet Earth will never change that equation in time for real change to happen in time amd thus dodge extinction in time, let alone matter; yet another symptom of a fatal species dysfunction.

After all, Chief Justice Roberts penned the 2013 opinion that gutted the Voting Rights Act, and the conservatives again just decided one of the most racist cases in history, the Florida voting rights case. The Court actually decided that all 1 million+ ex-felons in the State of Florida must pay all fines and fees before registering to vote, WHILE the State of Florida has absolutely NO clear records on what any of them owe.     I think that Fix the Courts is a must! (1) Limit all federal court appointments to 15 years, or until the appointee reaches 70, if that occurs earlier; (2) reduce the size of the Supreme Court to 7 members (on the basis of seniority); (3) as you stated, force them to recuse themselves during conflicts of interest; (4) 40% of all court hearings annually must be televised. What happened is after the civil war and reconstruction acts all govts became corporations. They are nothing more than merchants collecting revenue for the corporate states.
