The US could learn a lesson or two from Norway (they have a 20% recidivism rate vs. 70-80% in the US).
It is not due to what US officials call unaffordable luxury prisons, it is due to the treatment of prisoners and the programs they go through prior to release, as well as followup after release.
Norway has a true correctional system, where the goal is to convert criminals into ordinary neighbors and tax-paying citizens when they have served their terms
Don't believe prison programs. Some may start out with good intentions.last time I was in 2012. I had enough of this shit. Instead of fighting It . I took every bullshit thing they offered. Take any education. Had a ged before I fell a chance came up. A college small business accounting was offered. I Finished it 3.7 gpa.that wasn't easy for me. Walked out the gates.went straight into community college. Only cause I received a pell grant. Finished trade school for welding program. No one will hire me cause I'm to old. But I learned something new. I haven't been back don't plan on it. Anyone been threw thier system. Knows who really should be behind the bars. Cops laywer's, DAs. Judges. Any so called professional thats testified for Courts.

I believe prison is private owner. So it a business. And we all know that when something is business everything else does not mater. Sadly.

Systemic racism in the US is directly linked to crimes, especially crimes against Whites, and especially crimes against White women.
