Most, if not all the scientists that are paid by governments are biased and in order to keep their jobs and funding they will skew their research results to mirror the numbers or scenarios that their masters (government employers) want. Unwanted results = no funding (no job). If you want to keep your job, you give them what they want. Do some research and you will find that the scientists with no skin in the game will tell you that there is no climate emergency. Also, look who the "climate emergency scenario" benefits the most. You will find that it is benefiting the wealthy. If you are serious about lowering CO2, go after the countries that pollute the most. The 2017 numbers: China, U.S.A. and, India. The people that it will negatively impact are the poor in developing countries. If these people don't have access to cheap electrical power, they will go back to burning wood or animal dung to cook with and to heat their small huts in the cold night air. There would be no electricity to run a small fridge to keep what little food and medicine they have, from spoiling. These people are already very poor. They can't afford the many unreliable expensive solar panels and wind powered generators. If they don't have access to cheap fossil fuel generators or power plants, you will be sending these people back to the stone age. Many women and children will die from smoke damaged lungs from inhaling the dense smoke from cooking in their tiny huts. Many more will die from spoiled food and medicine because they can't keep these expensive valuable items cold. Is this what you want? Are you going to excuse what you're doing by saying things like " it's no big deal? These people were poor and not worth helping because the world is overpopulated anyway. They won't be missed because they weren't important enough to care about. Will that be your excuse? Maybe in the future, but at this point in time our technology isn't good enough to to provide large, inexpensive, 24 hour reliable power from windmills, watermills, solar panels or solar mirrors. Our planet IS NOT having a climate emergency. For 70 years of my life I have seen so many climate predictions be wrong. Not just one, two or three, but every single one of them. After five or six incorrect predictions I quit counting. Please, do some research. If you want the truth, research the scientists that have no skin in the game. These people will tell you the truth because the results of their research will not affect the money they earn or the position they hold. We older people have seen predictions from global warming, global ice age to ozone depletion. Stop scaring the hell out of our children. Please, stop putting such a burden on them. When you see children crying because they think they are going to die in 10 or 12 years, that has got to be child abuse. Are you trying to damage these kids for the rest of their life? Use some common sense. Try and reassure these kids that the world as we know it is not going to end anytime soon. I have lived through so much of this crap that I can pretty much guarantee it. Stop brainwashing the children. Chicken Little was wrong. The sky is not falling. I will be dead in the near future. Cancer and old age are not my friends. Twelve years from now, after I'm gone, I just want you to remember one thing that I said: . "THERE IS NO CLIMATE EMERGENCY OR CRISIS". Note: Stop worrying so much. You will live a longer, happier life.

4. There is a 50-year history to the "human-caused global warming" (AGW) narrative, which is fully-funded by global elites through foundations and agencies within the United Nations. Climatologists boarded the funding train or were ostracized and smeared (Judith Curry). Countries with significant investment in unreliable wind and solar are now experiencing double and triple the price they paid for electricity from fossil fuels and nuclear (Germany, Australia, England etc.) while their politicians are raking in taxes from "carbon pollution" and the investor class is betting on huge taxpayer-subsidized green infrastructure projects.

15. Until we make the connection that under the current state of affairs raw material such as coal, gas, oil, soil, water are tools associated with the power of US productivity, we are lost!
    There are two aspects to these use-values make them historically unique in the way they are used and consumed and they are the elements of all material life, and death when they no longer benefit society but, in fact, are destructive forces. It is our productivity of labor that is the destructive power we are witnessing in the effect on environment and it is we who should respond to the climate crisis.
    Asking or demanding the governments do something makes no sense at all because they are not the direct participants of a labor-process that consumes the raw material by the tons on a daily basis causing the climate crisis with its emmissions. The factories, office buildings, the cars, trains and planes, are the tools we use are powwred by those use-values and gives us the economic power currently destroying the environment can also be the power to repair the environment.

Obviously, there isn't going to be any significant response to the climate crisis.   One reason, is that runaway greenhouse has already been triggered.  Governments know that the situation is lethal and irreversible, and so all efforts to solve the problem will not only be futile, but also expensive and very inconvenient,   so why bother.    Of course,  runaway political corruption is also underway,   politicians are shills for large corporations,  and our civilization is 100% addicted to fossil fuels.  Without fossil fuels,   farming becomes infinitely more difficult,   goods cannot be easily transported and most people wont be able to heat their homes.    Massive overpopulation means that switching to green energy globally is not possible at present,  without billions dying off.  8c  is the minimum we will see by 2040.    By 2100 it will be 20c to 40c.     We are doomed,   but you wont hear a lot of people admitting that.   It would not be politically correct, or profitable, to tell the whole climate story.    There is no money in near-term human extinction.

21. The people should start resisting their own complacency towards the climate "emergency". How many of the 500,000 people got to the Montreal (and other) protests on their own power. Guaranteed that over 90% used means to get there that burned fossil fuels. People, here in Canada, most often drive cars with only one person in them and while doing so take off from stop lights at high levels of acceleration. During the Xmas holidays people are buying junk to give to each other by the truckload. These items are mostly made and packaged with petroleum products, not to mention the production and transportation energy costs to get them under the plastic tree or flying to the tropics or environmental conferences. I won't go on, but could. Why look to the government to deal with the consumption of energy when it is every individual's actions that are the problem. If the demand for fossils fuels was lowered so would the desire to produce more of it and CO2 emissions would decrease. CO2 emissions are everyone's responsibility and your actions determine which way things will go.
