  1. I almost feel bad for laughing cause I feel like I’m making fun of a person with a disability…😬😂

  2. I’m 47. You’d think I’d have handshakes down by now, but no. I was at an IT conference and walking towards a vendor’s table, eyes on the giveaways. They had some cool shirts and some really, really sweet power banks.

When I walked up, the vendor held out her hand, obviously as a friendly introduction handshake. I dragged my eyes away from that sweet, sweet swag, thrust out my hand and I missed. I was way closer than I thought and I pretty much jabbed her right under her breasts with my right hand.

My only saving grace is that I am female, also, so I wasn’t seen as anything but a total spaz. Thank god, she started laughing. It was definitely not my best moment. I seriously thought about walking out, getting in my truck and driving far, far away. Like back to Indiana – we were in Austin and I’d have had to leave my husband and the dogs behind. It was an option, though.

  3. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I can’t stop laughing because I can feel the embarrassment. Oh and I totally get it, I’m not much of handshaker.

  4. Question for you Mike.

I work the graveyard shift in a hotel, and have for about 15 years now. Over my career, I've had to call the police on numerous occasions. I always treat them with respect, and in general have been treated respectfully in return. But something has always bugged me about my interactions with the police.

I work in hospitality because it is deeply ingrained in my nature. I always attempt to help anyone as much as I possibly can. So when I need to summon the police, I am as hospitable as possible. Usually I'll offer them coffee or hot chocolate. They >NEVER< take me up on the offer. Is there something prohibiting police from accepting Coffee? Always strikes me as strange, as the coffee is free for any visitor to the hotel.

  5. A question for mike the cop hopefully you'll answer cuz it's an honest question. I'm a Chrysler technician and sometimes my job requires me to test drive the vehicle after a repair or even for diagnosis but sometimes the vehicle smells like weed buy is NOT my vehicle. If I get pulled over am I at fault because of the smell? Like would I get a ticket or something?

  6. I’d be really interested to hear the off the cuff crew discuss civil forfeiture & specifically the conspiracy theories that it is abused. I love your videos and how they deal in reality showing how you and your colleagues view aspects of you profession and life in general. Thanks for all you do!

  7. LMAO! This episode reminded me of my time in the Navy. You three have that same kind of comradery that I miss from my time in service.

  8. I remember my first awkward handshake with cops. It was at my uncles funeral who was a sergeant with a neighboring agency. Well after the ceremony I went to thank the two who gave speeches etc. They were talking away as I approached. Well they didn;t notice me at first so I looked like the kid trying to blend in but stands out completely. I pre-planned what I was going to say etc. So after a few they turn to me and ask how things are going. All I could get out of my mouth was thanks and two screwed up handshakes and some half assed eye contact. It was obvious they were confused and they could tell I had no clue what I was doing hahaha

  9. This has happened to me multiple times and I can't stand it At first I started carrying a bunch of singles so I could just drop the money but then people started saying I had a problem with the strip clubs Now I just make my own coffee before I leave

  10. When I finally decide to grow up, I want to receive a ticket from Mike The Cop so that I will have his autograph and maybe even a autobiograph!

  11. Hey Mike! I've got a question. I'm very interested in becoming a police officer and would like to know what kind of (if any) physical conditions can prevent you from becoming one. I'm only 20 years old and unfortunately my right ear suffers from significant hearing loss. Would that prevent me from becoming a police officer?

  12. Can you do a video of reacting to comments on facebooks “filming cops”? Seriously I’ll even help you look for comments their really good and I think it would make a epic video. Btw love what your doing Mike.

  13. I laughed so hard I thought I peed a little, then the horror when I realized I sharted instead. Change my drawers… do it now!

  14. Ruined your morning, but made ours! Thanks for sharing. I’m sure The Claw is used to awkward interactions; don’t sweat it.

  15. Awkward handshake to really PISS off Fish and game officer, got a couple, one I was gutting fish had fish guts all over hand when I grabbed his right hand and totally slimed it with handshake, did the same when I had been quartering a moose, planted my hand in moose guts as I stood up then gave officer a firm handshake.

  16. I have a friend who lost parts of his middle and ring finger on his right hand, and when he shakes the hand of someone he knows, he rubs your palm with the "nubs"…

  17. Germaphobe and a LEO? Has to be rough on the man having to deal with certain folks especially when you have to place your hands on them for one reason or another. Thank God for Purell and gloves right? lol!
