I'm going to speculate that she(cop) only said "Have a nice day" to the motorist because she(cop) knew you were recording; otherwise she could probably care less to take the time to express any pleasantries and wants to just scurry off to snag another ticket elsewhere. She's gotta reach those monthly ticket/arrest stats (they won't call them 'quotas' which is what they actually are…. I've been told by plenty of retired cops (and some active ones too) of how the system actually and truthfully operates, which has absolutely nothing to do with any 'public safety'…. the police supervisors demand 'number productions' with 'expectancy goals/targets' or the patrol cops are threatened by their chiefs/supervisors with a variety of administrative/departmental penalties if they don't "produce" ticket/arrest numbers…..sad, but true).
