Pasco County, Florida — On Wednesday June 17, Pasco Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to Auto Zone in reference to an unwanted guest complaint where a subject was reportedly entering and exiting the store frequently. The subject was at first very cooperative, as seen in the video, with the first deputy. However, as the subject again attempted to enter Auto Zone, another deputy reiterated the first deputy’s conversation with the subject that, while he was not under arrest and free to leave, he could not go back into Auto Zone.
During this conversation, the subject suddenly became violent, aggressively attacking and knocking the deputy to the ground and continuing to attack the deputy by punching them multiple times before the Auto Zone manager and additional deputies were able to stop and subdue the suspect. The Sheriff’s Office has not identify the other deputy pursuant to Florida’s Marsy’s Law as the deputy is the victim of a crime.

When you are attacked by someone suffering a mental health crisis you have every right to defend yourself. The person suffering the mental health crisis has a right to dignity and to be treated humanely once they are brought under control. Kudos to this officer for not violating this man's rights and not letting his temper or a sense of vengeance cause the unstable man more harm. Honest-to-goodness human compassion is something we don't see exhibited by many cops these days. Sure, you see the "photo op" kind of compassionate acts by law enforcement, but those are usually for victims, children, and harmless animals. For this cop to keep his cool and not slam the guy's head into the pavement or kick him in the ribs a few times right after being attacked by the man (as plenty of cops would have done) shows his humanity. We need more like him.
The mental issue here
The couple who rudely watched the cop get attacked should be charged as well,
this man wanted a hot meal and a warm bed to sleep in. he did what he needed to do.

I find it really stupid how so many people stopped by the police then try to escape .
Without thinking that they worsen their situation , to the point of being killed ! I also noticed that the "blacks" are more used to rebelling in percentage terms .
Then there are the Hispanic , then the whites , almost never the asians .
