While out searching for repeat offenders Wednesday evening, Detective Ben Erskine encountered the three young boys playing basketball at Joe Lee Smith Park in Cocoa, Florida. Detective Erskine began talking with the boys when three other officers arrived. The encounter then turned into a 5-6 minute game of 3-on-3 basketball with Detective Erskine, Detective Anthony Colombo, Officer George Menendez and Officer Amanda Torello who was the “odd man out.” Officer Menendez made sure his bodycam was capturing the moment in hopes the NBA took notice. “Those kids can sure play ball,” said a Cocoa Police spokesperson. “Of course, they won the game, but it wasn’t a bad showing by the boys in blue!”, “It was a much needed break,” said Detective Erskine.

  1. Upon returning to their cruisers after the game. The officers found that their shit got jacked while playing ball. Upon further investigation, three suspects were apprehended, and allegedly turned out to be the older siblings of the young players. (sarc)

  2. Considering that they're little boys playing against grown men, they really don't seem like they did all that bad

  4. Too cute! Did anyone else catch the little cheerleader on the side aww! These young fellas can play some ball. Love seeing communities work, have fun and just be together.
