Body camera video has been released of a deadly Pittsburg police shooting in January, police said on Friday. The police shooting happened on Jan. 12 near the Nations restaurant on Railroad Avenue after someone reported a suspicious car. The witness said they saw a man sitting inside his car appearing to be taking part in a drug deal. When officers arrived, they said two officers walked toward the car, saw the man, and saw a gun in the center console. That’s when they took out their service guns and demanded the suspect, identified as 45-year-old Terry Amons Jr., place his hands up. “Initially, Mr. Amons did as he was instructed and placed his hands on the steering wheel and in view. One of the officers opened the driver’s side door and continued to instruct Mr. Amons to keep his hands up and on the steering wheel. However, Mr. Amons then dropped his right arm away from the steering wheel in what appeared to the officers to be an apparent attempt to retrieve the handgun from the center console area,” police said in a press release. “At that point, one of the officers (on the driver’s side) fired his service weapon at Mr. Amons due to the apparent deadly threat posed by Mr. Amons reaching towards the gun contrary to the commands by officers. After several gunshots, Mr. Amons then exited the car per officer’s commands. Officers secured Mr. Amons and then administered first aid until an ambulance arrived,” police added. Amons died at the hospital. Police say the suspect’s gun was a loaded, six-shot revolver and was not registered.

  1. I see a lot of people saying stupid stuff away never had two guys pointed in a face and at the very same time have two people telling you to different things want to put your hands on the steering wheel and the other telling you to put your hands up both and at the very same moment they’re yelling at you what would you choose he didn’t choose to be shot do you believe that’s what he chose.

  2. RULE 1: “Don’t Reach for your Gun!”
    RULE 2: “See Rule # 1”
    RULE 3: “Shots Fired…Shots Fired!”

  3. Must have scored a major vessel, that irregular snoring breathing pattern is representative of his body losing too much blood, his heart and lungs failing, and his brain slowly swelling as he shuts down, yikes

  4. I cannot believe the sheer stupidity of some people. The police say do this and they do the opposite and get killed. Makes you wonder if the policeman had said, "Reach for the gun!" he'd do the opposite and leave it where it was and stay alive.

  5. M'aiq enjoys watching these fools die. This one does not understand what is so difficult about following police instructions. Do as you're told, or you are going to get shot many times and it's going to hurt a lot, until you die. There is no other options. All your BLM marches, riots and lawsuits are for naught. Now, fall back in line, go to work, pay your taxes, and follow the laws. Or, feed the worms, like this fool who thought he didn't have to listen to the police officers. M'aiq wishes you well.

  6. I bet if people knew officer Dillon Tindall, that abominable creature, he's always in some misconduct case especially involving minority subjects and the Heavenly Father dealing with a creature like that.

  7. I love police, always wanted to be an officer. I understand there are bad cops and good cops. But a majority are good cops. I understand that corruption happens and is dealt with. That being said. I think the officers acted a little to quickly on this one. The gun was said to have been in the middle console but I only seen him put his left arm down in an attempt to either raise his shirt " for whatever reason" or as we all do when exiting a car, his arm goes down naturally. I will rewatch again and see if I missed something but can anyone else see where he actually reached for the middle console?

  8. I don’t know about you guys, but when someone tells me “don’t look” instinctively I look :/

  9. Someone reported suspicious man sitting in the car at the restaurant? Lol why dont they just say police had info about dealer ☺️
