This video include the Police dash cam and the Diamond “Lavish” Reynolds Phone recording footage synchronized, the back seat inboard camera of the police cruiser with Diamond “Lavish” Reynolds and her little girl. t Also the Video Released by Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension Interview Room of Diamond “Lavish” Reynolds.

Falcon Heights city in Ramsey County, Minnesota–The dashcam video central to the manslaughter trial that resulted in a not-guilty verdict against the former St. Anthony police officer who fatally shot Philando Castile was released to the public Tuesday.

It shows Jeronimo Yanez drawing his gun seconds after pulling Philando Castile over for a broken taillight in Falcon Heights last summer and rapidly firing seven bullets into the 32-year-old black man’s car while his girlfriend and her 4-year-old daughter helplessly watched.
The footage was among several critical pieces of evidence included in the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension investigative file that was made public late Tuesday afternoon. Also included in the file was audio of the interview Yanez gave to BCA agents the day after the shooting. His statement was referenced repeatedly by prosecutors throughout his trial as evidence of what they said was the officer’s shifting story but was never introduced in its entirety for jurors analysis during deliberations.

With the release of the dashcam video, members of the public who didn’t attend Yanez’s trial could hear the tone in Castile’s voice that Ramsey County Attorney John Choi said stuck with him when he deliberated over whether to press charges in the case.

“(Castile) was so respectful …,” Choi said at the press conference held this past Friday. “He went beyond what the law requires (of drivers with a permit to carry a firearm). He was compliant. He wasn’t resisting, and at the end of the day, this was a traffic stop.”
Jurors who ultimately acquitted Yanez of all charges he faced in the case watched the video, which picked up audio from Yanez’ uniform, multiple times throughout the trial. Taken from the camera mounted on Yanez’s squad car’s dashcam, the footage doesn’t show what happened inside Castile’s vehicle, meaning the jury had to decide whose version of events it believed.

Jurors could hear voice tone though and how quickly a July 6 traffic stop in Falcon Heights for a broken taillight led to gunfire.

Yanez said Castile continued to move his hands toward his black pistol despite the officer’s orders not to reach for it. He testified that Castile was gripping the gun when Yanez opened fire out of fear for his life.

Reynolds maintained that her boyfriend was trying to unbuckle his seat belt so he could get his wallet and hand over the driver’s license the officer asked for seconds before the shooting.
Also on Tuesday, Castile’s family announced it would sue the St. Anthony police department in civil court.

  1. Officer: “don’t reach for it man” Philando: “im reaching for it” Officer: “don’t pull it out” Philando: “ima have to pull it out”

  2. The is very sad. Please don't tell an officer you have a gun and then reach for your waist. I really can't believe what I just heard. Don't reach for it. I'm not. Don't reach for it. I'm not. Then his GF explains he was only reaching for his wallet. Yeah, well, the cop said not to reach for it.

  3. When a child says "Why you telling her your real name", that's a little worrying.. A tragic situation none the less.

  4. The cop is more upset than his wife filming for the lawsuit, he moaning she's filming like nothing happened cold bitch that's what got me about this video a half hour later she starts in on with an award winning performance after asking make sure he's alive like she's ordering coffee.ask me he shot the wrong one.

  5. This could have been avoided with common sense. If your carrying a gun, keep your hands clearly visible on the steering wheel & DON'T reach for ANYTHING. Tell the police where the gun, paperwork, licence etc is & then follow the cops instructions.
I'm glad here in Australia carrying firearms on you is illegal.

  6. I just can’t believe that a simple replacement bulb for a $1.00 has just cost this person his life. The driver announced he had a gun and the officer said do not reach for the gun ( BUT THE DRIVER SAID I HAVE TO REACH FOR MY GUN ) After reaching for the gun he was repeatedly told him not to reach. Then the driver puts his hand onto the weapon. Just so hideous, but thank god the girl friend had done her hair and makeup so that she could look her best whilst filming herself as her boyfriend is either dead or in the process of dying. The girlfriend is almost cold and not freaking out as this type of thing happens everyday to her. Worst thing was she was more worried about her phone dying then her boyfriend. But the worst thing was a child was in the back of the car. The girlfriend is just thinking of the big payout. The small child was so sweet and loving. You do not act like this in front of your child. Shame on her as the only person that this will effect the worse is the child who now thinks Chinese police officers hate black people & they shot him because they had weed on them. That poor girl breaks my heart.

  7. Just let him have a peaceful death or don’t shoot him if I was that officer I would not start shooting I would keep my gun out until he pulls it

  8. WOW 🥺 that poor little girl! Especially when she was telling her mom don't worry I'll protect you but she's scared and then telling her not to take the handcuffs off so she doesn't get shot either, so sad!

  9. the driver said I have a gun the officer said don't reach for it. The driver said ok but I have to show you. I would of lit that fucking whole car up

  10. I believe the girl friend.. He was being honest to the police that he had a gun. This police jumped to the wrong conclusion. And killed a innocent man. The Police need to do better judgement and better training. My heart goes out to the girlfriend and her daughter and his family. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

  11. Diamond wasn't very accurate with her statements, bordering on being a false witness. Good thing we have the videos for fact checking. Just trust the Lord and tell the facts of what happened without emotional bias and maybe the Lord would grant you the desired outcome, i.e. justice. The jury would not convict the panicked cop of the charges because the law on the books was so vague and confusing. At least the officer was fired and the Castile family won a settlement. You know what would be nice? If that former cop would come out with a public statement of apology and remorse towards Philando's loved ones, and maybe they can find it in their hearts to forgive him. May Philando rest in peace until resurrection day.

  12. 18:00 I cried for this little girl. Another innocent life ruined by poor judgement of law enforcement officer…This poor child witnessed her daddy get murdered by someone shes suppose to trust ..How will she feel and act with cops in the future? PLUS adding to the trauma they leave the innocent mother in cuffs in the back of a cruiser with hr daughter unable to even put her arms around her child and console her… IM DISGUSTED with these officers and how they acted during this situation….

  13. Omg such injustice!!!! I’m so angry 😤 and it doesn’t matter that I’m white. This racial profiling has got to ✋ stop!!!! This baby girl will never ever forget this traumatic experience. The level of wisdom she displays far exceeds the wisdom of all adults combined. So very sad 😞

  14. I CRIED MUTIPLE TIME'S ON THIS VIDEO IT'S SO SO SAD I HAVE A DAUGHTER AND AN ADOPTED WON AND WHAT WENT THRU MY MIND IS IF IT WAS ME, I LIVE A BIT FAR FROM MPLS BUT TJATS WHERE I WAS BORN AND I CAN'T STRESS ENOUGH THAT COPS NEED TO PICK 1 JUST 1 ORDER OF WHAT THEY WANT SOMEONE TO DO AND NOT BE SUCH A PUSSY SORRY BIT ITS TRU IF HE GOT SCARED AND SHOT HE SHOULD NEVER OF JAD A GUN ON HIM AS AN OFFICER, PHIL TOLD THE OFFICER THAT HE HAD A GUN AND HE TOLD HIM TO GRAB HIS LICENSED AND REGISTRATION AND WHEN HE WENT TO GET IT HE SHOT HIM WTF!!!!???? I WATCHED THIS WHOLE VIDEO WITHOUT SKIPPING FORWARD BUT ONLY BACKTRACKED TO HEAR WHAT ALL THE PAIN THAT WAS HAPPENING WITH DIAMOND AND HER DAUGHTER, AND LOOK THEY STARTED OFF TREATING HER LIKE A SUSPECT AND THEN TOLD THEM THEY CANT GET OUT OF THE CAR UNTIL THEY'RE DONE WITCH WAS OVER 1 HOUR AND A HALF!!! THATS B.S.!!!

  15. I get it BUT 10 SHOTS!!

    Idiot… he said he had
Carry permit and wanted to show you, maybe he could of been "reaching"

    But you shot first.

    Foolish over reactions…

  16. You always tell where your firearm is right away, while keeping your hands on the wheel. TELL, don't SHOW… don't point… don't motion. Tell them you have it and where it is and then wait for instructions. It's not that hard.
