An Indian River Sheriff’s deputy chased a DUI suspect doing over 100 miles per hour, and the wild pursuit was caught on dash-cam video. The dash cam video shows the suspect, Robert Rogers, walking towards the deputies putting his hand in his pants as if he is pulling out a gun. The deputy saw that the suspect put his hand pointed like a gun and made a quick decision not to fire.

“Deputy Flores realized he didn’t have a fire arm, even though he was acting like he did, so rather than go to deadly force, which was probably an option which may have been justified depending on the suspect’s actions, Deputy Flores instead put his firearm away and used his taser to try to subdue the subject,” said Lieutenant Thomas Raulen.

The chase ended in a physical scuffle between the Rogers and three deputies. One of the deputies suffered minor injures. Before the arrest the deputy had allegedly witnessed Rogers doing 109 miles per hour and running a red light, weaving in and out of traffic and posing a threat to the community. The sheriff’s office is waiting on Roger’s toxicology results. No one else was injured in the incident.

  1. Paul blart needs to realize that taser wasn’t doing shit and needs to help his partner instead of just standing there fucking idiot

  2. Cops correctly used continuum of force – 1. Verbal commands 2. less than lethal (taser) 3. Lethal. Given it did not get to 3 I'd say they did a good job. Suspect in custody and no one was injured.

  3. That was some funny shit. But there was NO fight. This wasn't even slap boxing. Did they have an agreement before the chase ended. That there would be no hitting in the face. And when it ended they even shit talked…..TOO FUNNY

  4. What a piece of DNA dung. That driver is as willing to kill anybody being DUI. Once he’s out, he’ll probably drive DUI again. These types never learn.

  5. This is an excellent example of officer restraint, likely do to the fact they don’t want an excessive force complaint. When the 3rd officer appears you can clearly see him start to slam the suspects head into the hood, but doesn’t, and then you see him line up for an elbow to the face but doesn’t.

  6. Taser didn't seem to do anything. But when that huge cop approached, he realized it was over and stopped fighting.

  7. To be fair those cops did suck ass at fighting. Like take out his legs while the other cop has his upper body tied up ffs

  8. LAW enforcement should be taught MMA at minimum and be allowed to use it on ppl since they want to square up with the police instead of getting shot for resisting.
