I know that i tell people not to talk to cops, and i stand by that statement…but im out here cop watching, and if i got questions, i find it very enlightening the different responses i get from different officers/deputies to my most obvious question: “whats going on” and lomita deputies are pretty good about giving me the low down on the happenings….i even get a little conversation out of them, since their stops have a lot of standing around time….Deputy Vega I have seen on several stops, and im pretty sure the couple of videos of mine she watched are because she was in them….
nothing dramatic, just some insight you may or may not find interesting in my ‘convo with cops/deputies’

I don't think there will ever be any question about if a motorist is law enforcement or not. Confidential plates for the entire law enforcement family. If that ever failed it would be the first words out of their mouth and why wouldn't it be? You and I would volunteer that info to if it were true. IMHO. Why are Lomita Sheriff so friendly compared to the ones I see everywhere else?

Yes you do have to identify yourself to another deputy or police officer because you are carrying your service gun? You have to remember she carries a gun and badge when she's off duty I take it trust and believe me but if you don't want to that's fine…..

I worked with a jack ass once that was a part time cop. I really don't think we drove together more than a couple times. He was flying out to a courthouse and when I mentioned his speed, he told me if he got pulled over, he'd just flash his badge and say he was on his way to the courthouse. Trust me, there was a lot more about him that had me believing he was a pig.
